Is there a way to block AeroGlass for downloading symbols

I believe if you create a text file in the symbols folder, and rename one dwmcore.pdb, and the other uDWM.pdb, these will serve as dummy files, and you can store the originals elsewhere or delete.  You should be ok then.

Thanks but doesn't work. It still downloads and replaces those dummy files I created

Create the dummy files then make them read only so they are not replaced. This worked for me.

Apparently someone (who at the time of writing is actually viewing this thread, oops) is distributing a version of Aero Glass on Reddit that (according to them) works on 10240. They do appear to be showing screenshots of it working (with no console window or desktop watermark), but as I am not running Windows 10 at the moment I can not test it. Either way, this is being distributed presumably without the permission of BigMuscle, and no credit is given.

just looked inside it, and fun isnt over, NoelC probably has to speak some words with that guy or girl as well (also s/hesays in a comment that the DLL is from glass8.eu, after being asked about some stuff from some virus scanners, where he practically put a forced attribution, lol)

It works to a point.  There is still the issue of moving some Modern Apps to a different monitor causing dwm.exe failures.  Bigmuscle does much better work than thieves.  I will wait for the real deal.

me2, I just took it apart to look a bit

According to Wzor ( trusted leak source) , 10.0.10240.16384.th1.150709-1700 had been signed off as RTM. It's time to go to Aero Glass beta state.

Create the dummy files then make them read only so they are not replaced. This worked for me.

Thanks I forgot about that. It worked for me to

Please, I need help installing !!!!attachicon.gifHelp win 10 aero.jpg

Download, and run version 1.3.1, and restart.  Do not check shiny theme atlas.  You should be good.  If you are not, open task manager, click on details tab, stop aeroglass.exe, and dwm.exe, copy debug for 10130.  Restart.  If symbols download, then create read only dummy files with exact same names as symbols files.  Delete originals!  You may need to do this in safe mode.

Any eta on the next version? Using 1.3.1 even by itself works though you have to click exit a lot on the cmd dwm.exe window in order for the glass to reappear on the title bars.

We shall be patient.
