IE 8 with POSReady 2009 updates

Can I use Internet Explorer 8 safely after installing the POSReady 2009 updates? Because Internet Explorer 8 does get updates

on Windows Embedded POSReady 2009.

Well I've installed all the offered POSReady updates since XP EOS, including the Cumulative Security Updates for IE8 and have had no problems with IE8.

Whether it's actually any more secure with them is impossible to tell of course, but if the updates don't cause any issues why not install them anyway?
