October 23, 201411 yr Old Version . com is a great site for all sorts of old things, but one thing I noticed is some applications download as a php file for some odd reason. So therefor what I do is I add quotations and add the exe extension. For example, "Chrome.exe" will automatically save it as exe and not the weird php file. I use Windows 98 SE so I use the site on a somewhat daily basis.
October 23, 201411 yr Author Thanks guys. I successfully downloaded my target version of Chrome but when I tried to install it it keeps telling me that a higher version of Chrome is already installed. However, I already removed the older version!!!
October 23, 201411 yr Google Chrome is a tad fussy in my experience. Try doing %appdata% in an explorer address bar and removing all things Chrome related, it might have left fragments behind in there which is causing the installer to think a newer version is installed.
