July 3, 201412 yr I must be insane because I keep trying video converters that claim to becompatible with 98SE. Runtime errors, missing DLLs, and a million otherproblems that stop these "compatible" apps from running. The last one I tried was DVDVideoMedia Free Video Converter. Afterdownloading two missing DLLs I got a runtime error.I don't need a converter that has a long list of file formats. All I really needright now is an app that will convert FLV and MP4 files to WMV.If there is a video converter that will actually run smoothly with 98SE pleaseprovide the URL.Thanks guys.
July 3, 201412 yr This: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/WMNicEnc It only takes avs scripts as input so you'll also need to install avisynth too: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Avisynth Not an easy solution but if you want wmv as output, this is it I guess.
July 3, 201412 yr I've used "Eusing Free Video Converter v1.5" on Win98SE...Works fine...http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_video/convert_video/eusing_free_video_converter.cfm/v1_5"Eusing Free Video Converter is a freeware video conversion utility with plenty of input and output flexibility. It uses the free FFmpeg encoder and supports most any video file that FFmpeg will convert. The output video files can be used on popular multimedia devices such as iPad, iPod, iPhone, PSP, MP4 player, mobile phone, Zune, etc. It can also convert video files to audio formats such as AC3, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV or WMA." July 3, 201412 yr Try Super Universal All Purpose Free Media, Audio & Video Converter Player Recorder. http://www.erightsoft.com/Superdc.html
July 3, 201412 yr Have anybody tried FormatFactory? It claims to work on "All Windows OS" (though I doubt it works on Windows 95). However, on Windows 7 this is my favorite encoder.
