submix8c
@TELVM - see comment above by JodyThornton - The Home Page setting in Options. I have mine set to "blank page" so that if I start FF, it goes THERE and not to e.g. MSNdotCOM like when you first install and get a "default" plugged in. The question being - does the new "feature" in FF actually OVERRIDE what I would set? SURELY PaleMoon has this in their Options so you can see what I mean? Heck even IE has this setting...http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2008/01/make-aboutblank-your-homepage.html Edited February 15, 2014 by submix8c
TELVM
@ submix8c I can't tell about FF, not been using it for a long time.About the enthusiasm that the new 'feature' is drawing and the eagerness to incorporate it into PM, see here. tomasz86
This sounds similar to what Opera has been doing with its Speed Dial for a long time. There are several sponsored sites listed there when you install the browser for the first time. It's no secret that Mozilla has always received a lot of money for using Google as the Firefox default search engine, so I'm not really surprised by this announcement.
