FWIW, my MSDNAA license says the same. SKU rearm count is even 1001

Yep , what I was wondering is if this is the "normal" status for an install made from a DVD bought in a shop (or - if it is not - whether the DVD is/was a "fake" of some kind and OP was tricked into buying it ).

ok, MAK activation is also not offered the Update. Only Retail and OEM Windows version get the Update offered in the Store.
