When I install the 8.1 upgrade it gets stuck at 84% then 85% and goes to a black screen and then BSOD's to DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE....Side note: The family PC that DOESN'T have media center installed 8.1 fine. Tripredacus Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I doubt Media Center has anything to do with it. The error you posted specifically refers to a driver. The specific driver should be mentioned in the error screen, or may be in Event Viewer after the 8.1 Update rolls back.
