likuidkewl Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 :offtopic: Man you are an early adopter, I am on the beta and was still running 2055, until tonight. The only reason is that they are shutting down the old 205 V5 update site and going with the new RC1 site. Anyhow don't be jealous..

RyanVM Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I've used this site for both build 2055 and 2082 without issue. I haven't tried 2096, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstreamed_xpsp1_cd.htm

lockedon Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 I was able to integrate the SP2 Build 2096 into my Windows XP CD.I tried to do a clean install and I got a ntfs.sys error and the setup failed.I have created the cd several times but no luck.Any Ideas?
Aaron Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 Guys, use a download manager. Microsoft's servers are very busy and can cut you off easily.
Tbone2 Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 xpsp2-network-rc1.eng.exe -s:d:\winisoworked for me
Exodia Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 Guys, use a download manager. Microsoft's servers are very busy and can cut you off easily.Yeah, i finally though of that after wasting 5 hours of downlaod time... silly me.
Aaron Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 I can't remember who mentioned a while back during the SP2 betas that removing the cmpnents folder caused Setup to fail, but I've tried this with RC1 and it seems to work fine. The CD is now down to a reasonable 404MB after removing all the usual un-needed folders.
Exodia Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 Did you use goshs method of reduction, or did you simply delete them?
