Featured Replies

I just got a new laptop today and it has windows 8 in it. I hate it and want to put windows 7 on can I do that without it messing anything up.

Check your Windows 8 license, downgrade rights should be stated there (it may depend on the version of Windows 8, too) see:

Once BigMuscle releases Aero Glass for Win8, you'll be able to make Windows 8 about 99% as functional as the best configured Windows 7 system. I've done it.

This guide tells you how to turn a Windows 8 system essentially back into a Windows 7 system.

I can't really see any way that it's better than Windows 7, though. And there are a couple of things they just deleted - e.g., Previous Versions integration with Windows Backup.

I was a Win8 hater when it first came out, but now that I have my Desktop back, Start menu, Aero, Games and Gadgets etc I have not gone back to Win7, plus I like the faster install time and bootup as well..DP :thumbup

don't mind W8 with start is back unfortunately I can not find updated video drivers so games ect don't run so I still use W7 for most of that.
