Why was MSFN down yesterday and why is it still slow?

xper, we greatly appreciate all that you do for MSFN. :thumbup  Just the fact that I can still log on in IE8 and have everything work, is amazing.  :)

+1

Server HDD swapped and OS reloaded. Putting everything back. It was hard ride in the last 72 hours. Will se in the next few days how it's going.

Hopefully no more long downtime's.

Thanks, xper.  :)

I couldn't get into MSFN yesterday, kept getting the following "driver error" message:

Reloading the page didn't help.

What was the problem?

EDIT: typo!

It was down for at least 4 hours for me.  In case you were not aware of it, a place has been established over at RyanVM were we can keep each other apprised of the status of MSFN when it is down. - MSFN.org state

Cheers and Regards

Thanks, bphlpt. It's too bad that there is a need for such a place, but I'm glad that it exists. I'll add it to my Favorites and hopefully never have to use it.  :)

For some reason database server looses connection. I just can't figure out what's causing it. The biggest issue is all this happens in the middle of the night. More strange is that I didn't receive message about it. It's just annoying, I know.
