Can't Copy Files From File to WAIK

Recommended Posts

Hi guys :thumbup

I am tearing my hair out here......

I have the 3.1 supplement ISO mounted on K: and my WAIK is installed on the D:, so I run the following:

xcopy K:\ "D:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools" /EURY

I keep getting the same "specify a file name (file=F D=directory)" ?

Please tell me what I am missing here....

use: robocopy k:\ "D:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools" /E /xo

And it should work.

Hi allen2 :hello:

OK I ran that command and it copied a lot of files....but if I compare the files in WAIK they seem older than the ones from 3.1?

How do I check that the files have been updtated?

WAIK files are unchanged between version 3.1 and 3.0. The only difference is the WinPE 3.1 wim that is included (and maybe some OCs).

Hi again!

Yes, more wasted energy checking, rechecking, reading, rereading etc....

Too much for my brain cells....
