Sorting files in numerical order in Windows 2000

This is something I haven't found out how to fix on Windows 2000, but I've found how to reverse what I'd like to do to Windows 2000 from Windows XP+

What I want to do is sort files in numerical order so when I click on sort by name, instead of files being sorted like this: 1, 10, 2, 20, 3, 30, I want them to be sorted like this: 1, 2, 3....10....20....30, is there a way I can make Windows 2000 sort files like that instead of the default way?

Once implemented in the kernel, I wonder whether the registry setting that tomasz86 pointed to will work so that you would have the option to switch back and forth if desired? Can't imagine that you would want to, but just wondering...

Cheers and Regards
