Yes... you both are very active! But in general it's the same duration for updating the list (and run the file-checker with this) in comparison to check every file manually.

Now, I already own many of the listed hotfixes but how can I say which one has been replaced since then? And which one has been added?

I mean, is there a fast/easy way to detect just the new/replaced hotfixes instead of checking them all one by one?

The only thing you would have to do its to supply me (upload somewhere) an archive with Italian language updates (official updates only). It's just too time consuming for me to download them one by one. If you do it for me, then it's very easy to make an Italian version of the Rollup.

Please answer if you're interested. I'll give you a list of updates that are needed (around 90 files).

Just let me read that list! (I just had a look at them... my actual hotfix list counts more than 200 files, more than twice your 90 ones... maybe I'm making some mistake... )

Now, what do you exactly mean with a "update rollup"? If I remember well it is a single exe/msi file, ready to be installed/slipstreamed in just a single step, isn't it?

I don't think there are any mistakes on your side The point about Update Rollup 2 is that it is going to include only official and public updates. It means that HBRs (hotfixes by request, yellow background at bristols' page) are not going to be included. Update Rollup 2 is going to cover mostly updates from Windows Updates list (almost all of them) and a few other updates.

You use HBRs and that's why you have more than 200 updates on your list as there are more than 120 HBRs available. You can find more detailed info about UR2 here. And yes, update rollup is like a BIG hotfix. Its structure is exactly the same as a single update, just more files and registry entries are installed, and of course it can be integrated using HFSLIP or nLite. IE / OE Mini Rollup is such a thing - 7 (9 in ver. 1.1) updates are merged into one, and the official Update Rollup 1 is also a perfect example.

The entry SCRIPTEN.CAB (IE6sp1 component, the ita cab is named SCRIPTIT.CAB) is stated as `Script 5.6'. The issue is I am slipstreaming just Script 5.7 components/updates and there are several warnings about mixing different versions.

So, if I just want Script 5.7, can I skip SCRIPTEN(SCRIPTIT).CAB?

I know it's an old post but yes, you can skip scriptXX.cab from IE6 if you slipstream Script 5.7. You can also skip OE6 .cabs if you don't want it (MAILNEWS.CAB, OEEXCEP.CAB, WAB.CAB). All these three components (IE6, OE6, Script 5.6) are slipstreamed separately.

958470 (for RDP 5.0, 5.1, and 5.2) is the 1.5 meg patch that Inki reduced to a reg file setting 3 ActiveX killbits in the registry.

The note says that "Users of RDP Version 5.0 on Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 must install both KB958471 and KB958470." KB958471 is not on the list.

How does a user tell which version of RDP he has ... if he has 5.0, should 958471 be on the list? or maybe just add a few words to the note for 958470? kb985470 applies to RDP 5.0, 5.1, 5.2

Confuses me too. If tomasz86 has the time, maybe create a unofficial fix with both files including the reg file as an updated version of rdp.

If you do decide this, can you still make a combined installer, because these files work on Win98SE too and is newer

than the files from MSRDPCLI.EXE? Then maybe someone can re-create the installer to work on 98SE. Thank you very much.
