I just installed Firefox 3.6 recently but now I cannot see the little blinking | symbol which shows me where the typing is coming out. It doesn't do this on any other forums, and if I post a reply then go quick edit, I can see the | thingy. Any ideas? Worked in FF 3.5 fine. Happens on another PC I just upgraded to 3.6 with too.

I don't see the problem in any of the editors, quick, standard editor and rich text editor.

EDIT: Spoke too soon. I see it now in the rich text editor.

This explains why everyone is editing their posts... Reminds me of IE8 Beta 1. Oh is this new Firefox faster now? I was wondering if I should update. I like how fast Chrome is but it is not as secure as my FF.

Wait till the next FF update and hopefully this is fixed.

Didn't happen on a few other forums but they must not be using the rich text editor.

It is also a little faster in benchmarks and seems to start up faster. I like the new tab opening system it has too where it will display the new tabs next to the website they were opened from instead of next to the last tab.

Users of Firefox 3.6 have experienced problems using the rich text editor in Invision Power Board 2.3.6. This is not a security issue but simply a feature usability problem.

IMPORTANT: This issue does NOT impact the IP.Board 3 series and those on the IP.Board 3 versions can safely ignore this message.

Administrators of a 2.3.6 installation can choose one of the following options to resolve the issue:

•Instruct members to simply switch to the basic text editor in 2.3.6

•Upgrade to latest version of IP.Board 3

•Download the patch file attached to this announcement, unzip, and upload to: /jscripts
