I think this is the official wallpaper. I just installed Windows 7 Build 7232 and this is the wallpaper I have instead of the beta fish.

No one was talking about the vhd or leaks....simply asking what lead to my statement of this being the official default wallpaper. But to amuse you the reason they had to release it as a vhd is to prevent the build being tracked back to the original leaker. And fyi all, the above image came directly out of the vhd untouched so all the metadata is intact for those anal about that stuff like me

this wallpaper looks terrible

I wouldn't say its terrible. Its very bright and colorful. My eyes hurt looking at it too long.

OMG

I think the problem with it is the flag is too "flat" and the edges too sharp. The background appears to the the login screen, but flipped horizontally with the bird removed.

I don't think they will leave the Windows logo on it. The background is great. I like it more than the beta fish background, even though it was very good.

Just got a hold of the Starter Edition wallpaper, they should have made it the default for all, its a lot better
