Does intel have a mobile quad core?

Featured Replies

Guys does intel have a mobile quad core?

I googled it and I see that it does but I can't seem to find the model # of it.

If someone knows can they tell me what model it is

is it a good chip

what motherboards support it

what laptops support it.

Thanks!

Why not buy a complete laptop with a quad core to avoid problems with the BIOS? Physically it would fit but the BIOS must have the microcode to work with the quad core plus the power section of the laptop, e.g. the voltage regulator on the motherboard and the PSU, needs to support the load.

I have to agree with that. Every laptop these days are more or less build around each manufactorers case design and in all honesty aren't designed to be upgraded other then the memory size of things. I would say its much more wise and save a hassle by purchasing a ready made quad core laptop.
