HI

Seens last week nLite freezes if he checks the folder size.

I have reinstalled .NET Framework 2&3 and deinstalled Demon Tools and no Firewall or Antivirus is installed.

I really can find out what the problem is´i have also done no big changes on the PC. This is strange.

Ok if i let nLite runing for over a hour then nLite is finishing with this scanning. strange strange

Outbreaker, really strange. Please post a screen shot of a Windows Explorer view of your CD folder. When you find a solution, please post it here, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

I have already copyed the CD files to my Harddisk a long time ago.

And like i always do i point to the Folder where the I386 folder is and nLite has always scan it in 1 minute but now it needs over a hour i have also run a Full Check Disk and no problems. And RVM Integrator works also without problems.

I tested also nLite 1.4.9.1 Portable but same problem.

If i delete this files "tcpip.sys" "usbport.sys" "sfc_os.dll" "uxtheme.dll" in the I386 folder then nLite doesn't take over a hour to scan.

I my option this is a nLite bug.

Well, I would suggest that you make a new copy from CD to your hard disk. I remember to had some problems with IE7 and although I never touched that copy something corrupted it.

Outbreaker, I suspect you have not found an nLite problem, but without more real information (not just complaints), we don't have a chance to discover what the problem might be. Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Also post the screen shot I requested. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

I use the original Windows XP Pro SP3 CD from Microsoft.

And i have also installed nLite new without using a "Last Session.ini" or "nlite.ini" file and i use alwas a fresh copy.

Outbreaker, this does not look like a MS Windows CD. It contains DOTNETFX and VALUEADD. It looks more like a recovery CD. Please post your Last Session like I requested and post the label of the CD. If you open My Computer, load the CD, you should see the label on the optical drive. Also post the Pid found in setupp.ini, probably in your I386 folder. Enjoy, John.

Yes it is a MS Windows CD i download it from MS TechNet:

I tested now to run nLite in VirtualBox and access the Windows XP

CD Files over Windows File Sharing and like this it works.

If i would now what system files nLite is using during scanning then i could test more but for now i'm out of ideas.

Why do you say this? I think it's the other way around, DOTNETFX and VALUEADD are present on MS CDs. Which editions, that's a different matter.

Hop ther is a nLite developer here how can say what system files nLite is using if nLite scans the files.
