Dude111 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I cannot figure out why AIM creates so many files during its session!YOU CAN DELETE EVERYTHING IT CREATES!! (Saving space)What is in these files anyway?I cant imagine how much space is wasted on someone's machene who doesnt delete them all after they close aim..
DigeratiPrime Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Can you calm down and give us some evidence of what you're talking about? Maybe a directory or file path or screenshot(s)? BTW you can always use alternative clients that understand the AIM protocol.
Dude111 Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 Im not complaining mate im not just stating facts....Why do these programs create so many useless temp files, etc?Just doesnt make any sense to me! (Why cant they be clean cut like some programs are (No cleanup required))
nitroshift Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I think this is simply irrelevant. Printscreens, directories, evidence of what you are talking about? As Dig said, just move to a different IM solution that understands the AIM protocol and you`re set to go.
Dude111 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) NO ONE UNDERSTANDS THE POINT OF MY THREAD....Heh,a staff member can delete this if they want to..... (Trying to just make conversation proves to be a challenge) Edited February 5, 2009 by Dude111
nitroshift Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 [...](Trying to just make conversation proves to be a challenge)Ummmmm... tried joining a social forum besides a technology one?
Jeremy Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Dude, get a grip, would you please? Stop whining like a baby. Are you running out of HDD space?Try a different client like Pidgin, Trillian or Miranda.
