otyk Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 hay all mates!i have this s***ty problem:i edit the XP sp2 Files with nlite, so my modded XP began with 538MB and finished with 140 MB (just for me, no internet no games etc...just for some s***s like ripping music or wathching vids =)) ), after that,i added some wpi complements and some sw on it, after all the whole installation, i tried to open photoshop...and suddenly, that blue screen that says 'a error has ocurred' appeared, from that moment...anytime i try to install sp2 on my omputer, always happen the same thing(pretty weird,'caus with sp3 there's no problem). As an aclaration, i don't delete services from the 'services' tab on nlite, and i need sp2 becasue my netMD(sonicstage doesn't work with my sp3, and i don't know why... )always give to me the same eror 'database could not be found' anyways.Mates, what am i doing wrong?? what happened?? am i cursed??please help this fella!!
Tripredacus Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 What are the errors you are getting? You probably took out a dependency that you didn't know about.
otyk Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 the bluie screen says:an error has ocurred, and windows can not solve it,windows will restart your computer...the fact is...windows never restar my pc...stays static..
cluberti Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Configure your machine for a complete memory dump, and the next time it bugchecks and creates a .dmp you can compress/upload it somewhere so we can see what actually happened.
infiniti25 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) just out of interest cluberti, what do you use to read the .dmp files and what do you personally look for when interpreting the .dmp files?EDIT: Do you use http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/deb...installx86.mspx ??Thanks,MATT Edited December 12, 2008 by infiniti25
otyk Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 @cluberti:as i can see..this only happens when i use ubericon, rocketdock and stylertb...so..i guess i something with the visual style...i still trying to get the right info..
Tarun Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Could always format and do an install using an official Windows XP cd. That should resolve all your problems. Also check and see if your applications have updates for SP3. Though they should work just fine, even in compat mode.Since this is most likely caused by nLite, moving to the correct forum.
otyk Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 ok Tarun.actually i made the firsts..o fotmat with the full CDnow there's no problem...but i need more space on my HD
