I prefer to use older programs because they are just as good as the new programs

so i was wondering which files from Nero 5.5.10.56 i should delete

because i only plan on using the burning rom/nero express nothing else.

best version in my opinion thats why i have downgraded from Nero 6.

Maybe someone can make a nero 5 lite version.

The newer ones have new features which are useful: DVD DL support, improved UDF support, LightScribe, support for BluRay (the burners are becoming cheaper already -- I've seen the LG GGW-H20L for $270 before), etc.

Edit: seemingly Nero AG takes offense to anything we might say, even when they seem perfectly legal to me. Sorry.

I used to be like that. I used to waste hours pointlessly deleting files resulting in a crippled installation of a program due to having a warped perspective on what is important.

1. If you want to use a "slim" Nero, than just use Nero Lite Micro or ImgBurn.

2. Don't waste your time removing files when today's 500GB HDDs and 2x1GB of RAM are $80.

This is 2008, not 1998.

I couldn't have said better myself. I used to do that a lot back when hard drives were quite small too.

These days, I've seen hard drive prices as low as 13 cents/GB. At that price, 10GB wasted is worth what, about the price of a medium coffee or so? That's not a price I lose much sleep over. And some people stress over 50MB extra, spending hours stripping a few MBs here and there. If that old 40GB'er fills too fast, it might be time to replace it.

Its not about the space its about having uneeded files on my PC that i don't use

or have no purpose for.I don't use wave converter/coverdesign etc....

so i rather not have it on my computer.I just would like to install the things i use and nothing extra.

appreciate the help.

even so there is no latest micro version for 6 only a outdated version.

if it was up to date i would install so as you can see 5.5.10.56 is final.
