bledd
you'd be better off using windows 2000 with such little ram, that will struggle on that too mind..i'd bump the ram up to 256 mb
jaclaz
The specs seem low for XP, see links in this post:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...49409&st=23128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)Though people did manage to boot XP with such low RAM amount, see this:http://www.winhistory.de/more/386/xpmini_eng.htmhaving 256 Mb of it is what I personally judge the minimum to have a decent system response. You'd better re-install a 98, if you take your time looking around the board, there are lots of updates for it and should work allright for the intended use.jaclaz
Ponch
pentium 2, 64mb of ramI can download movies and add them to shared files folder so they can watch movies on there PC.Depending on the file format of the movies and the clock of your PII, you might also get dificulties for that task. puntoMX
Depending on the file format of the movies and the clock of your PII, you might also get dificulties for that task.Indeed, under the 400-450MHz you could forget to watch DiVX or XViD, let alone H264... nitroshift
I'm with jaclaz on this one. 64MB of RAM is too little for XP and even for 2000. You either bump up the RAM as puntoMX suggested or stick to 98.
