File Missing - No it isn't - Yes it is - NO IT ISN'T!

is the windows installer blind??? The file is sitting comfortably in i386 which it is requesting... it makes me manually locate it... wtf?

Yes, it is missing from the location where the setup package is looking for it (D:\)

Uhhh, VPC Add-Ons - Shared Folders - I386 is on Host: no longer shared (settings must state to "retain shares", otherwise "dropped" when reboot VM-guest)???

edit - oops; i see this is the actual OS install; better question is where did the media go? did you initiate the install from a cd-image (iso)? if so, same thing applies... (ref. nitroshift's comment)

Check layout.inf to see if its in there

Ok i haven't tested either solutions yet... so when i get home i'll check layout.inf and if fixing that doesn't help i'll simply copy the file to d:\ to fix the problem.
