i need to stripe out my winXP to smallest sized as possible for my "downloading" box only. no keyboard/muse/monitor.

list must have:

RDC (remote desktop connectop)

be able to updating windows up MS update website (also install the updates)

keep standard pic/fax preview thingy

stuff for bit torrent (azurea)

i've tried 10 times with nlite with different stuffs removed, RDC wouldnt work, others tried and couldnt install the updates etc lol

i gave up so asking you guys if you dont mind to tell me what stuff i need to leave alone

perhaps a copy of your script so i can import them into nlite

firslty XP Home, Pro, x64? Do you integrate your own drivers or keep the original?

grrr i knew i'd forget something

XP Pro (business volume licence key), p4 1.6ghz, intel motheboard/LAN, not bothered with sound/graphic as i'll be connect the box via Remote Desktop Connection.

funny enough i was looking to export the preset file but couldnt find it, where is it? using latest nlite

ps. XP 32bits, testing it on virtualbox first then if all working then will burn to CD to install on this downloading box

Active Directory Services as i remove pretty much except i keep WMP..

btw did you get an error message or something i.e. crash, hang, anything really?

stopped at "9 minutes" setup................nothing happening, no crashing, just stopped at 9 mins

i tried same preset with older nlite 1.3.5 and it's working

but when downloading MS updates via MS update website, after downloaded 61 hotfixs, then it says all failed to install.

first updates (windows installer 3.1 and 2 other things) went fine, reboot.

what went wrong?
