October 9, 200718 yr Try mmc /a, add the device manager snap in, then save as devmgr.msc or whatever that file name was. If that doesn't work, i would check registry keys, such as HKCR\.msc. I know microsoft's website support.microsoft.com/support has articles on this.-gosh

October 30, 200718 yr cannot save MMC console because you lost MMC.exe , try to reinstall previous SP1 version
