I think we can safely say this month has seen a massive number of patches released, users of 5eraph's pack can ignore changes involving \Hotfix, but all others still apply.

On the supported application front, I've added Windows Live Essentials (at MediaFire). The main web installer refuses to run on XP x64 (Boo, Hiss!), but once installed on 32-bit XP the downloaded installers will work on XP x64.

So I’m trying to make an nLite of my xp pro 64 Disc. I’m using an nLite ini for reference to make changes (check attacment) it’s from a DAW Forum and it’s intent is to lean down and speed up a 32 bit OS, no I don't plan on using any of the drivers or fixes and patches.

I started by going to “how to create a fully up to date XP x64 DVD, argh.

I used Sersphs post SP2, IE+addons and his IE Tweaks. no problem integrating but below seraps link at how to create...... there’s the directx redist and i Can’t get that to integrate at all. I’m also not sure if that’s all I have to do in the hotfixes patches area because also below Seraphs link at how to create......there’s a:

Not sure what I need to do, I’m thinking I might be bloating it out with all this stuff.

I’m running nLite on my laptop with W7 home Premium. Don’t know if nLite should be installed in programs or X86. Either way it works, I think. I’ll be needing to install Net framework 4 and other programs and I don’t know where I do that in nLite, or if I have to integrate them post some how.

From MediaFire, the Config_XP-64_date.zip file and extract it, this will also setup the necessary directory structure.

Note on colour codes shown below:

% means that you must directly download this file yourself, this is because it either:

. . . A) is simply huge (Service Pack 2, .Net Framework 3.5 sp1 and DirectX redist) or

. . . B} requires validation (Media Player 11) or

. . . C) is an optional component (Internet Explorer 8, .Net Framework 2.0 sp2)

MD5 and SHA-1 checksums are provided for the above mentioned items.

@ means that the file is available in the 7-Zip archives available at MediaFire and as a part of the torent.

# means that in order to save time (honest, it will take forever) and my bandwidth you should directly download this file but it's also in the torent.

To save on click fatigue 2 7-Zip archives are available of the smaller hotfixes at MediaFire, extract them into the same directory that you chose to extract the Config archive into.

5eraph's XP Pro x64 post SP2 update pack and Internet Explorer 8 AddOn

Rather than using the original Microsoft hotfixes, you can instead use the update pack maintained by 5eraph over at the RyanVM forums, it includes all of the high priority updates as well as quite a few extras. If using 5eraph's pack the required files are:

Optional components (currently SubInACL/ChOwn & TweakUI):

Any small (<2MB) but useful optional components will be placed in the \AddOns directory. The batch files will be written to support their installation if \AddOns is copied to the nLite working directory.

TweakUI is a unofficial Microsoft powertoy that acts as a one stop shop for User Interface configuration. This is the (hard to find) x64 version, digitally signed though. As there are no silent install switches, you must include 7-Zip for automated install.

Yes (if you had extracted the archives into the same folder as instructed then they would already be combined)

On the application front:

• Kel's CPL bonus pack has been updated, but the AddOn doesn't work, you have to use the silent installer (only works with 5eraph's pack)
  
• Opera has been dropped as their latest installer doesn't work (great for a company that complained to the EU about browser lock-in)
  
• The installer for the latest 32-bit version of Java gives errors at higher DEP levels, so sticking with 6u22 for now

I think I finally see the light, I only have one other question about the image of the directory after integration. it shows a + mark next to the addons folder indicating one or more folders inside.I was thinking it may be the 7z update. Could you clarify for me please and thank-you very much for your help.
