lennierv Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Hey everyone.I've heard that its possible to make an image of the current state of an Operating System along with programs. I know it is possible but i'm not sure which program is used to do this. This makes an easy way out of reinstalling XP again. I just want different choices and see which one works best. If anyone knows what program is used. Please and THank U.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 2 options I know of are Acronis TrueImageand Norton GhostOf the 2 I hear the acronis is the better choice.
TheFlash428 Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 I have never used Acronis, but Norton Ghost works just fine for me.

the_nets_edge Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Consisdered Norton Ghost (v12) but 'Emergency Recovery' requires 512mb ram. (I have 512, but manual specifically mentions shared video memory makes ram less than 512, and ER Boot disk may not function.)Considering NTI Backup Now 4.0(www.ntius.com)haven't seen acroniswill look...The Nets Edge
IcemanND Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 What were you using for 'Emergency recovery' out of ghost? The Boot CD is 25mb with all the options and takes less than 50mb of memory to boot.
