Tihiy (of Win98 Revolution) has just added the alpha channel (transparency) to Win2k icons

As I said in the HFSLIP forum, that's a great idea and a great work. It would be great to include this utility in the Vista Pack, if Tihiy let us to do so. But we will have to rebuild it, because we ripped off the most of XP 32bit icons

Hello folks!

I will install W2K as WXP neighbor in two seperate partitions (nLite do a good job for preparing the RWs).

But, i doesnt like if my Windows doesnt speak german if packages craps UI lang, example in XP: no german-lang vista-like sysdm.cpl.

This evening i have a test system in the testing purpose partition with the package from here.

Then i can post here what i need to be altered for my language - think i could do this also and would post changed/ added needed files here!

Ok It would be nice. I have an idea of what has to be altered, but another oppinions are welcome. We'll try to fix it in the next release, we have to wait until damian comes back.

By the way I have tested Tihiy's patch and looks great, but as I have said, we have to update lots of resources that were ripped off the pack.

IMHO you should not include Tihiy's patch right now. Sure it looks promising but there are some critical issues yet to be fixed.

My new Win2K-Install (it needed a lot time until doing that) is now Ultimate

Hope the Resource Reloader will cause the MS-Security updates doesn't destroy the customizations!

Cause i does also use WinXP Prof a lot.

Some questions:

How will it be possible integrating the package with nLite? Supporting 1.0x with GuiRunOnce i know, what about the convenience of Hotfix nLite Integration? Or, may i create .cab for doing this (will hosting it on my webspace )?

What parameters are supported yet (Related to question above)?

I wrote VistaPack related Posting @ german-nlite Board, is that okay?

Error reported:

g-force: (First tester with german WXP): regedit.exe not found, Path C:\WINNT instead of C:\WINDOWS

the regedit thingy is fixed, i hope.

so we have to wait for xpero to release the full source.

that will make it possible to patch the setup files!!!
