Congratulations Damian.

Nice to see it up now.

Damian has done a lot of work on this pack. Icons, bitmaps, avis and dialogs have all been changed throughout W2k. It makes for an awesome look. It has been well alpha tested and there should be no worry about any problems. I have found only a few resources missing but Damian is diligent and all will be found.

Does it work on the cd or after install?

Both. I have only used the live install method but I got this from Damian:

and that i386 option is already there man, thats option 2.

now i can even type in the path to the i386 folder so no more fixed place

I'll have to get the latest download.

The best way to test this is Live-Install in safe mode. After you unpack the executable (double click), you will get a desktop icon. Install from this icon.

The pack is 58Mb but remember that it replaces resources on your system.

hi squeeto, thanx for the answers you gave for me, i dont have internet at home so im not on all the time, only at work

i know its a big download, but thats because the wallpapers and sounds are included.

if its to big, let me know guys, and i will remove it from the pack to make it a seperate download.

and any bugs or something, let me know!

Probably a good idea. Not everyone is on high speed. I did notice that my last download was around 18Mb.

I missed this one because I don't have WordPad on my system but on the wife's machine it is found at:

xcopy "%systemdrive%\\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe" "%systemdrive%\vistapack-2000\sources" /y

Not:

xcopy "%systemdrive%\\Program Files\windows nt\Bureau-accessoires\wordpad.exe" "%systemdrive%\vistapack-2000\sources" /y

as you have in live-install.cmd

i like it BUT i think the desktop icons are a bit small, to be fair though i was running win2000 pro in virtualpc.

i didnt know how to call "Bureau-accessoires" in the other language.

but consider it fixt!

the runbox is just a try, i will make a nice one without the christmas theme!

i already cut it down a mere 20 mb so trying to fix that to man.

Hey just a fun thought How about where it says Windows Vista in the start menu section you make it say "Windows Pre Vista"?

i dont know if this is a bug i cant get it to uninstall,i click the icon and choose 3=restore old files,replacer starts and nothing else happens?

well its like this.

when you choose option 3, replacer starts to put back all your old files that are saved the first time you use the pack.

so if you see replacer working, its oke.

for a real uninstall, just restore your files and delete the pack from your harddisk.

so whats the point of having option 3 if it doesnt work? it doesnt do anything,i tried 8 times and i rebooted every time.
