I also found out that the mp3 codecs: l3codecp.acm and l3codeca.acm co-exist after I had installed WMP10 in a working XP.
So they are both located in the system32 folder.
EDIT:
WMP10 removed the lameACM mp3codec (that I had as default rip-codec) and replaced it with his mp3codec.
LameACM is still installed, but no longer working in WMP.

I made a quick comparison of which WMP10 files are in the I386 folder and which aren't.
Maybe someone finds it useful for integrating WMP10 into the Unattended CD (you know: by replacing WMP9 with WMP10).
Here the list; -> means that the file is cabbed.

I believe that codecpack is already integrated in WMP10.
I only wanted it, because I am not going to install WMP10, just the codecs.
Media Player Classic is my favorit.

Thanks for the link.
Aren't there Windows Media Audio/Video 10 codecs?
0 -
Is there a codecpack from MS with the WMP10-codecs?
So we don't need to install the player itself?
0 -
Okay, that's true.
Thanks.

So it has to overwrite all files (=1) instead of skipping existing files (=2)?

But HOW do I include them?
Are they the same as the VMWare Tools?
0 -
How can I include VMWare's drivers as well?

I am overwhelmed by the sfx-options.
Can someone give me a step by step guide on how to convert RyanVM's rar-file to a sfx-file using winrar?

Thanks RyanVM.
7zip is great = freeware

Is there another way to make a silent install package?
I am asking because I don't have Winrar.
Or can I use a trial version?
And what would the steps be (=to make a sfx, not to slipstream SP1)?

Do they differ in size?

All your questions are answered here:
Q4: I believe so.
Q5:Just copy over all the directories (to be really sure) and point to the directories where the *.inf's are stored.

@prathapml
It WORKED.
I did search for it, but used the wrong searchwords.
I searched for: welcome to windows ,which didn't return any usable results.
Thanks again

I read once that it can be done.
Make sure that you makecab your own picture.
makecab yourpicture.jpg bliss.jp_
or something like that.
EDIT:
Try it in VirtualPC or VMWare to see if it works.

I don't use group policies and to be honest I don't know anything about them.
Can they be silently applied during Unattended install?

I seperated the files that are already located in I386 from the files that aren't.
yes.txt contains the list of files thar are located in I386.
no.txt contains the list of files that aren't located in I386.
