  1. Why not use a DVD? Or if you really must use CD's, use 2 CD's...
  2. Hmm.... I'll update the installation instructions with more info in the next update. If I see how many questions are here so soon...
  3. The safest solution is to let it install through T-12 (SVCPACK) or at T-11 (cmdlines.txt).
  4. If you've chosen RunOnceEx in the DriverPacks BASE, the .net fw will be installed BEFORE the ATI CCC. If you've chosen GUIRunOnce, it will probably give you some headaches.
  5. DriverPack Graphics A V6.01.1 Supported devices. Changelog: V6.01.1 (22 Jan 06) -Fixed: ATI CCC didn't get installed, there was a serious bug in the modded Radeon Catalyst Mobility driver (the one that supports all Mobility devices that aren't supported by the official driver). -Updated: ATI Radeon driver from 12/11/2005, 8.203.0.0 [5.13] to 01/04/2006, 8.205.0.0 [6.1]. -Updated: ATI Mobility Radeon & Mobility FireGL from 12/11/2005, 8.203.0.0 [5.13] to 01/04/2006, 8.205.0.0 [6.1]. V6.01(08 Jan 06) -Updated: ATI Radeon driver from 10/28/2005, 8.191.0.0 [5.11] to 12/11/2005, 8.203.0.0 [5.13] (switched to Catalyst Control Center, since the good ol' unbloated Control Panel is no longer being updated!). -Updated: ATI Mobility Radeon & Mobility FireGL from 09/14/2005, 8.18.0.0 [5.10] to 12/11/2005, 8.203.0.0 [5.13]. -Updated: nVidia Geforce, Quadro (also supports GeForce Go) driver from 11/11/2005, 8.1.9.5 [81.95] to 12/10/2005, 8.1.9.8 [81.98]. Download
  6. DriverPack Chipset V6.01 Changelog: V6.01 (08 Jan 05) -Updated: ALi/ULi chipset drivers from 2.0964 to 2.13. -Updated: ATI IGP chipsets drivers from 5.11 to 5.13 (null update).s -Updated: VIA Hyperion (& VIA IR) chipsets drivers from 5.06a to 5.07a. Download
  7. BTS DriverPacks BASE V6.01.1 Changelog: V6.01.1 (22 Jan 06) -Updated: [DPB]: BTS_DPs_finish.cmd: updated to reflect the changes in DriverPack Graphics A V6.01.1. V6.01 (08 Jan 06) -Fixed: [DPB]: RUN_ME.cmd: portcls.sys wasn't copied to the I386 directory. -Updated: [DPB]: BTS_DPs_finish.cmd: updated to reflect the changes in DriverPack Graphics A V6.01. Download Known issues -none REMARK I was obligated to switch to the Catalyst Control Center instead of the Contol Panel for all ATI graphics drivers! As a consequence, you will need to have the .net framework installed BEFORE the installation of the control panel starts (which is at GUIRunOnce or RunOnceEx, depending on your choice) or you will run into problems!
  8. That's a decision of the developer EDIT: and since when do .net 1.1 apps not work with 2.0???
  9. I won't be able to upload the updated version today, since the new RealTek HD Audio driver (1.29) is STILL downloading (for over an hour already) and will continue for almost another hour. I can imagine Realtek has alot of bandwidth to handle, but the way THEY handle it... they should be truly ashamed!
  10. The main reason people don't like it is: again another component to install, while not many applications need it (however that's changing).
  11. The best way is the txtsetup.sif method. It's the way the original drivers are also integrated. The winnt.sif method is recommended if you're experiencing incompatibilities and want to fix it for one specific device. The txtsetup.oem method is recommended if you want to integrate only one (or certainly a limited amount) of textmode drivers.
  12. I agree with mediapla: that's the easiest solution. The best option is to: 1. download the latest driver from nVidida.com (currently 81.98) 2. extract it 3. download the 'modified INF' from www.laptopvideo2go.com 4. move that .inf file to the folder where all extracted files are 5. control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager -> "unknown device - display adapter" -> (right-click) update driver -> advanced (select a folder) -> navigate to the folder where the extracted files are -> install
  13. And if you don't want to use nLite, you can do it yourself. Check the sticky, section #1. Question answered, topic closed.
  14. Check the sticky, section #2.. Question answered, topic closed.
  15. I think the best solution for this one is repacking it completely
  16. Could you please attach that driver?
  17. What's the exact problem? Just use the latest driver, which is ATM 81.98.
  18. I noticed and I've replied . Thanks again! Problem solved, topic closed.
  19. You did not read what ruudboek said: the problem is SOLVED since DriverPacks BASE V5.11.6. His point is that you should UPDATE your downloaded DriverPacks Problem solved, topic closed.
  20. I just went to ASUS' site and they are 'syncing their web database and they're sorry for the inconvenience'. Well, please let me know if the updated DriverPack Sound A makes a difference. Probably not...
  21. I guess you simply downloaded that driver from Dell's website?
  22. Implemented in DriverPack Sound A V6.01. Topic closed.
  23. Implemented in DriverPack Sound A V6.01. Topic closed.
  24. I cannot (almost refuse) to believe that this grave bug has always been there.... :o Thanks for submitting this bug! This could solve the remaining portcls.sys/HDA problems, I think... It's fixed in DriverPacks BASE V6.01, which should be released tonight.
