    OneDrive is now at version 22.131. Any more advice on how to get it to run? Will more versions of VxKex be released? I have not installed it yet. OneDrive 22.077 continues to work OK so far. We'll see what happens in January 2023.

    So, latest OneDrive installer (22.089.0426.0003) will not work anymore even with the patch provided by @vxiiduu.

    Thanks, this worked... can you explain more? Does this substitute a component of DirectX for something else? However, more errors are on the horizon. I don't know if replacing this file, which does exist in the System32 directory, with a version taken from Windows 10 would work and would be a wise thing to do.

    Latest version of MKVToolNix – Matroska tools for Linux/Unix and Windows doesn't launch on Windows 7 anymore. Last version to work thus far is 66.0. Here is the changelog: https://mkvtoolnix.download/doc/NEWS.md The error I get is as follows.

    The latest version to run OK seems to be 3.86, later versions give an error that the Process Monitor driver cannot be loaded.

    Some Syinternals utilities no longer work on Windows 7. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ I have tested TCPView 4.x x64 and the latest version of Process Monitor, which do not work However, others continue to run fine even with the updated interface, although system requirements are listed as Windows 8.1 or higher. Unfortunately there is a lack of information on the site about which versions are the last good to work on various operating systems, and older versions are not available for download.

    So I ended up downloading the missing dll from dll-files.com and placing copies of both 32-bit and 64-bit versions in the respective Windows system directories. Managed to install Vidcoder 7 successfully! (Whether there might be issues with the software when actually using it is to be determined).

    Wow, thanks for your efforts! I'll be glad to understand better how this works, I assume OneDriveSetup.exe uses the "local" kernel32.dll. I've been unsuccessful following the instructions thus far. Get the following error upon launching OneDriveSetup.exe.

    Thanks a lot! Seems that the current version 22.002.0103.0004 does not contain the mentioned hex strings, though. Could you take a look at it? How did you determine those were the ones to change in the previous version? The reason for me is simple - we use OneDrive quite a lot at work. While I have a Win10 work laptop, I also keep my core files on my home PC machine, which has relatively recent hardware (Intel Z390 chipset) and on which I run Windows 7. The app has worked with no problems thus far. It's a shameful behavior by MS to deliberately break products in this manner. Then again, they did something similar together with Intel where they decided to not allow people to install Windows 7 on anything higher than Skylake.

    So the last version of the OneDrive app to run on Windows 7 is 21.230.1107.0004: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/onedrive-release-notes-845dcf18-f921-435e-bf28-4e24b95e5fc0 Tried to install more recent versions, but the installer gives an error: I suspect the app itself would actually run fine on Windows 7 and that this is just an artificial block; maybe someone more knowledgeable could check.

They recently changed security requirements and TLS 1.2 is now required to be able to sign in and synchronize files. Windows 7 is fine with this after installing proper updates and modifying registry settings.

    Vidcoder v6 not officially supported anymore on Windows 7. https://github.com/RandomEngy/VidCoder/releases/tag/v6.41 The minimum version of Windows supported is now Windows 10. Windows 7/8 are now "run at your own risk." Seems to run fine thus far.

    I can confirm this... For me, it works OK with New Moon 27.9.1, but not version 28.

    With the latest version of New Moon 27.9.1a1 (20180818), Google Maps now work for me.

    Just tried it now, and indeed, the problem does not happen there. :) Has Google implemented something which is not compatible with the older version?

    So here is a screenshot... the memory usage did not exceed 400 MB while loading Google Maps. The computer has 2 GB RAM. So I doubt it's a memory problem. As I mentioned previously, the map does show briefly at first, but then goes into black. Street View doesn't work either. Has no one else encountered this issue? Is there a configuration preference that I could try to modify that might help?

    But it did not happen with 52.9. I have 2 GB of RAM on the machine. I will test again and take a look at memory consumption while loading Google Maps.
