  1. i just reread the problem, you say only one RAM slot works, does the other slot genuinly not work, because if it doesnt you may have a fried board, and i had a 433 celeron it was my server pc, now that started reporting at 500mhz, and i rang around and found out the the chip had only semi-burned out now i laughed at this point, but the guy was right becasue two weeks later it went BANG!! lool........ but you might wanna get us some temp reading then we can go deeper into the problem lool and also if you can use a different PSU, i have a feeling it could be something only as simple as that

  3. it is defo a PSU issue, i havent come accros any that have surge protection built into them, but you can buy and extension set, with surge protection built into them
  4. sounds to me from what you tell.....could be a overheating problem.....can you get any temp measurements???

  10. well bascailly i normally use my computer for me only, and i use the built in XP admin account and just change the names via nLite, but recently my lil bro has started High School, so he needs a computer to do his "work" on lool.... so i wanted to make him account to keep his s**t of my profile, now i made him an account but it doesnt let him logon its complains about a profile not being there and to contact network admin which is me i have never come accross this problem before, anyone have any ideas LAST_SESSION.INI
  11. its an inpressive card i read many reviews on it, has a bit of overclocking potienal nothing to large but hey, im an ATi fan, but its a good card go for it
  12. Well.....after about 3 hours of throwning things around i can accross a solution which invovled me taken my wireless card out my pc, and ripping up my carpet and wiring up via cable, i fixed a 80mm silent fan to the card, using nylon, this will stop any vibrations between the fan the heatsink, but this has rendered to PCI slots on my pc useless coz there blocked by the fan, and i was hoping to get a TV card in there but the end of the month So now i have to comeup with a more permenant solution, i have been lookng around for for slim fans, i found a few 80mm im looking for a 60mm, because the 80 is slighly bigger than the heatsink, which isnt really a problem it just makes it easier to attach it to the heatsink
  13. the thermaltake site says it isint, becasue the mount holes are different
  14. lool....i got an idea.....you guys leave it with me till 2moro.....i thinki have an amazing solution
  15. not compatible either :'(
  16. Here
  17. to be fair i was thinking the same lool.....so its decided isit, ill go for the Zalman HP80, now i read also about 10 mins ago its not caompatible with my series of cards it was on quiet pc site
  18. i just relised something, is there a way to control the fan speed on this card that would save me buying a new cooler system, i read around and used ATi tray tools, and it says i dont have support for that option, so is there anyway i can have support like using a modded bios or something
  19. have you tried installing windows on the 80gb without the 20gb connected
  20. ok thanks alot mate ill have a look around ans see what others have to offer i will then splaash out
  21. when it comes to my pc price is never an option as long as it does what i want it too then i dont mind spending the cash, well 1600XT its a fairly hot card....not exactly x1950 XTX, but it does pretty much as well, my PC is actually silent im honest to god, the loudest thing in there is proberly my Maxtor SATA drives, which is only a low hmmmm sound lool, since i put my 1600 in there....its really loud, i just want to remove the stock colling and replace it with a silent solution My PC gets cleaned ever other week, ihoover inside it remove every mm of dust and reassemble the whole setup, i like to keep it clean lool.....so dust in my VGA stock cooler isnt a problem lool
  22. Ok here is the picture of my insides, the pic was taken by my phone so dont expect it to be top notch
  23. if i take some pictures of my inside of my case....and then hopefully everyone can better idea of what im faced with then we can come up with a excellent soultion lool
  24. I'm not 100% sure if you can use the fixings with another fan, but it looks like a standard 80 mm fan would fit just fine. You could use a home made solution by just attaching a fan (any size) in some smart way... lool....yeah a home made solution, the reason im asking is because i was planning to attach a SilenX 80mm fan to it, because i know from expirence there quiet so just to keep it cool, and silent, i have one in my case now which is 11dBa, now obviously there readings are wrong iit doesnt let 45CFM of air pass through it, but it does get all the warm air out my PC, so putting one of them on the Heatpipes should be ok
  25. ok ill swap the stock northbridge and southbridge heatsinks around, i have as5 im going for the Zalman HP80, now i read about do i have to use the Zalman fan with it, or can i fix another similiar size fan to the fixings
