hmmm true about luna... but if you want complete performance from the OS you would revert back to the classic view, and about the start menu i went back to the oringal ones because i prefer them!! TBH, you should upgrade your graphics and try out Aero Glass, you will love it.. you dont have to buy a state of the art 400£ card... to get it to run jus a card with Dx9 compatibility and atleast 64mb mem.. i would reccommend at 128

I got curious about DX10 the other day and was wondering if anyone figured out how to install it on XP. I didn't find anything yet (of course it's early), but i wouldn't doubt if this will be possible down the road a bit. Also, is there anything that actually uses DX10? Or will use it in the near future? well as far as my knowledge goes dx 10 for xp isnt due for a while we should, i think have it by the end off summer, no software i no currently uses dx10 but... slowly poeple will start releasing things.

well not entirly.. but its also the fact its up to date and also new hardware suport not to mention Dx 10, i was stating that Aero is what makes Vista, Vista lol.. if dat makes sense

everyone has their own preferences, but i personally feel with out aero Vista is very similair to XP Aero makes Vista unique so its gotta be there

mine is a 32 bit install with only forceware drivers everything else worked stright from install 7,033,995,264 bytes which is massive... my xp installation is only 400mb!!!!

after playin around, with a million and 1 vista settings, i have come to 3 major conclusions 1) Vista will be worth upgrading to 2) Without Aero enabled Vista sucks big style 3) your gonna need alot and i mean alot of memory!!! i know these have been discussed many many times but i thought i would jus have my say!!

i totaly understand what yor saying, but wen i play around with OS's i want features but with the least amount of resources, i mean for instance that usb fearture, i persoanlly feel it is a waste of time, runnning vista requires alot of memory, so by having 2 or 3 gb of it a paging file isnt necessary, and also system runs smoother with out a paging file anyway

you see i dont dont believe in such programs like that, i just work on the method, if you get something workin to how to want it and remove the crap, then all is gd lol in this case 95% of services in windows are rubbish.. which need to be removed

i got vista beta 2 up and running after a whole day of messing around with drivers and that s**t, now i have disabled many services in order to speed up things, my knowledge on the services is very limited and the internet isnt helping at the minute if its possble by taking a look at task manager pic, can someone help me out on what other services i can disable to increse perfomence yet, keep functioality??

mines fine m8 i replaced 2003 totally!! i feel it is very stable few bugs here and there but waht program hasnt

everytime i open a exe file... portable thunderbird loads, no matter what i click on end result is thunderbird loads... how can i fix this
