  1. Go here, grab my Antivir8_AOM - and enjoy an always up-to-date Antivir 8 Best regards cool400
  2. Okay, I understand that! So every solution using AlphaImageLoader leads to delays, right? Maybe you can tell me anyway, where I could paste the code to try it out myself? BTW, could this be useful: The easiest way to PNG support in IE6? Or maybe this: PNG Alpha Transparency? Best regards and thanks a lot cool400
  3. Thanks for your fast reply! But maybe there's another way how to modify WPI, so that also users of IE6 will have PNGs with transparency without converting them or installing IE7: PNGs with transparency in IE6 I (seems to be the better solution) PNGs with transparency in IE6 II I would be very glad if you could tell me, at which point I will have to modify my WPI or where I have to insert the new code to have transparency! Best regards and thanks a lot cool400
  4. @damian Is it possible to install Vistapack with the silent-switch "/S" via WPI after a fresh, unattended XP-install? Are there any more switches? Best regards cool400
  5. Nice one - which Dock are you using? Best regards cool400
  6. Hi, I've got the problem that my WPI-icons have no transparency: This happens with every skin I try! Do you know what's wrong with my WPI? Best regards cool400
  7. @moongoon Thanks for the flowers Right now I'm looking for a way to build an Addon-Maker for AVG 8 Free Edition with up-to-date virus-definitions - maybe I've got some results in the nearest future! Best regards cool400 B)
  8. You're right - thanks! But my icons don't have transparency This looks really weird... Do you have an idea what's wrong? Best regards cool400
  9. @radix Not to bother you - I know this, as I'm building WinRAR-SFX-archives for a long time. In the last weeks I've learned how to make a 7Zip-SFX-archive using the modified SFX-module... But I want to understand! I hate it if I don't understand how things happen... Why can't I see the "normal" SFX-comment like in my own WinRAR-SFX-archives? And, BTW, which INI-file are you referring to? There are only 2 executables inside the archive (if I remember correctly, I'm not at home right now)! Regards and thanks for your patience cool400
  10. ----- english below ----- Hi, schau Dir dazu mal diesen Thread an. Viele Grüße cool400 ----------------------------- The addon posted in this thread has to be modified to work with the german-version of DT! I will modify the AutoIt-script ASAP and publish it in the german forum. Best regards cool400
  11. @radix Yes, I saw this comment - but normally you have a WinRAR-SFX-comment like this: Path=%programfiles%\WinRAR SavePath Silent=1 Overwrite=1 Is the SFX-comment by johndoe74 encrypted in any way? I asked this because I can't see which switches are used and which program is called after extracting (now I know that it's dt4123.exe). So if I recompile the AutoIt-script it has to be named dt4123.exe, right? Best regards cool400
  12. Unfortunately I can't help you with this - but I really like your WPI-skin! Could you please tell me which skin this is? Best regards cool400
  13. Thanks for your statement! But what kind of SFX-archive have you (or better johndo74) built? I can't see no SFX-comments And what about WinSetState ( "anyprogramm.exe", "", @SW_HIDE ) for hiding windows - would this work? Are these windows controlable anymore? Best regards cool400
  14. Very nice one - thanks a lot! But how do you manage it to install totally silently without showing any windows? Best regards cool400
  15. @radix Thanks a lot for your work! I will try this out ASAP. One question: you call daemontools.exe with the paramter "/S", so that it should show no window - how could you capture window-text? Is the window there but only invisible? And, another question (if there's no silent-switch available): is it possible to prevent ANY window from appearing on the screen? Or maybe simply move it outside the desktop (maybe at position 2000x1500) and capture all clicks there? I tried to understand how your SFX-file that I downloaded right before (daemontools-4123-lite.exe) works - but with no success yet I see two files inside: daemon4123-lite.exe and dt4123.exe. When I open this one big file (daemontools-4123-lite.exe) with WinRAR, I see no SFX-comments  How is the right file called? Where does the script extracts itself? What is your secret??? Best regards and thanks a lot cool400
  16. @johndoe74,radix In my case DaemonTools tries to install itself in German (my native language) - therefore your AutoIt-script doesn't work, because I think it's expacting english windows Maybe you can post your AutoIt source-code so that I can recompile it myself? Best regards and thanks for your really good work!!!! cool400
  17. Let me remind you the topic of this thread: "How to make a 7-Zip Switchless Installer" - it's not "What are the silent-switches for ICQ6?" I did a (really short and fast) search via Google and found out, that you have two options: using AutoIt (I've got a script for the german version of ICQ, you only have to make it compatible to your own language) or simply use an SFX-archive! This is the (german) AutoIt-script made by Monchi from the german-nlite.de forum: run ("Install_ICQ6.exe") WinWait ("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard", "Welcome to ICQ") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Welcome to ICQ", "Button1", "Check") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Welcome to ICQ", "Button17", "UnCheck") ControlClick("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Welcome to ICQ", "Button2") WinWait ("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard", "Custom Installation") ControlClick("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Custom Installation", "Button9") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Custom Installation", "Button15", "UnCheck") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Custom Installation", "Button16", "UnCheck") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Custom Installation", "Button18", "UnCheck") ControlClick("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Custom Installation", "Button2") WinWait ("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard", "Bevor Du loslegst") ControlClick("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard","Bevor Du loslegst", "Button2") WinWait ("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard", "You successfully installed ICQ 6") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard"," You successfully installed ICQ 6", "Button27", "UnCheck") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard"," You successfully installed ICQ 6", "Button28", "UnCheck") ControlCommand("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard"," You successfully installed ICQ 6", "Button29", "UnCheck") ControlClick("ICQ6 - InstallShield Wizard"," You successfully installed ICQ 6", "Button2") RegDelete("HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run", "ICQ") And here you can download a ready-to-go SFX-file, that installs ICQ6 unattended to %programfiles%\ICQ6 and creates a shortcut on the desktop: http://www.file-upload.net/download-753288/ICQ6.exe.html. The ICQ-datas are saved in "User\Application Data\ICQ"! It shows a progress-screen when extracting - if you want it to install completely silent, simply change the method in the SFX-comment. Anyway, you have to learn something about wether AutoIt or WinRAR-SFX-archives Best regards cool400
  18. Please re-download the script - there was an error if you don't had 7-Zip installed! Best regards cool400
  19. Hi krose, thanks for this information, I will figure out if I can use some of the parameters! If you are interested, I've made a script to install Antivir 8 fully silent and unattended, fully customizable and always up-to-date virus-definitions: Avira Antivir 8 Free - complete silent and unattended Best regards cool400
  20. I have made a script that downloads the newest Antivir 8-programfiles and definitions and creates an always up-to-date, complete silent, self-installing 7Zip-SFX-archive for the use with WPI, ComfortInstaller or simply manual installation. Additionally you can choose to create an nLite-Addon - I think it will also work with RyanVM-Integrator (but I don't use it, so test it out yourself ) You can choose where Antivir should be installed and where your Windows is installed (needed for the TEMP-files)! Simply download the script here and start it anywhere. After the script has finished you will find your SFX/Addon in the folder where you started if from! I would be glad about your feedback Best regards cool400 EDIT: script-date 24/04/2008, MD5-checksum: BE840FC262B1264EE35F4F6077DEBF70
  21. @krose Thanks a lot - I will modify my files ASAP! I already figured some more possible parameters out But I don't know if all of them are possible for the Free-version This is what I found: DestinationPath ProgramGroup DesktopIcon FireWall WindowsFireWall ScanMode KeyFile AVWinIni RestartWindows ShowRestartMessage Password MailScanner Rootkit WebGuard Guard ShowReadMe ShellExtension Do you know what we can use in our setup.inf? BTW, in the next hours/days I will upload a complete automated Antivir 8-batch which updates automatically before bulding the SFX and - if you wish - build an nLite-Addon Best regards cool400
  22. Thanks to both of you for your help!!! I really appreciate this As I'm really willing to find things out myself I hate it to ask such questions - but I think I'm stuck again I followed Rick's advice and read tons of information about the modified 7-Zip SFX-module. I think I made a big step into the right direction, but it seems I'm missing something! First I found out that the 7za.exe is not able to unzip EXE-files, especially the Avira Antivir Setup-EXE 7z.exe is able to do this - but what is the difference between these both files? I think I read the the 7za.exe contains the librarys and 7z.exe not - do I need any further files when using the 7z.exe? Are there any disadvantages? I slightly modified the create.cmd this way: cd av8 ..\7z a -mx=9 "..\av8.7z" * cd .. copy /b 7zsd.sfx + config.txt + av8.7z Avira_Antivir_8_Free_Silent.exe del av8.7z Then I built a config.txt: ;!@Install@!UTF-8! InstallPath="C:\\Windows\\Temp\\Avira" RunProgram="basic\\setup.exe /inf=\"setup.inf\"" RunProgram="hidcon:cmd /c tskill avscan" GUIMode="2" ;!@InstallEnd@! The folder-structure looks like this: [root] 7z.exe 7zsd.sfx config.txt -- [av8] {files} . . . setup.inf -- [basic] {files} . . . setup.exe When I open the Avira_Antivir_8_Free_Silent.exe first it seems that all went well, but when I take a look into the Antivir-logfile it say that the setup.inf has errors This is really strange, because with exactly the same setup.inf it's no problem when using the WinRAR-SFX-methode! This is my WinRAR-SFX-comment: ;Der folgende Kommentar enthält SFX-Skriptbefehle Path=%windir%\Temp\Avira SavePath Setup=hide.exe "%windir%\Temp\Avira\setup.cmd" Silent=1 Overwrite=1 After extracing the WinRAR-SFX to C:\Windows\Temp\Avira I call this command in the setup.cmd: start /wait %windir%\Temp\Avira\basic\setup.exe /inf="%windir%\Temp\Avira\setup.inf" ...and it works - like I said with exactly the same INF-file! Do you know what I did wrong with the 7-Zip-SFX-method that it not works like the WinRAR does? Further I had a batch-file that automatically replaced the SFX-icon with a custom one: reshacker.exe -addoverwrite Avira_Antivir_8_Free_Silent.exe, Avira_Antivir_8_Free_Silent.exe, av8.ico, icongroup,101,1033 But it seems that this destroys my SFX-file! Do you know why? I tried to manually replace the icon, but maybe I need another icon-file (format?). Best regards and thanks a lot! cool400
  23. Hi, this is a really cool thread - but all the information blew my mind away I've got some questions that are nearly unsolvable for me as a noob, but maybe not for you guys 1) I want to add files and the regarding subfolders to a 7z-archive, that are themselves contained in the subfolder "av8" - but without including this folder-prefix in the archive, meaning I want the archived files and folders to be in the root of the archive. This is my command: 7z a -t7z av8.7z -mx=9 av8\ How can I achieve that the files and subfolders are in the archive-root? 2) I want to make a silent(!) SFX-archive from this 7z-archive. ATM I'm doing this with WinRAR and the SFX-command Path=%windir%\Temp\Avira SavePath Setup=hide.exe "%windir%\Temp\Avira\setup.cmd" Silent=1 Overwrite=1 so that all files are unextracted to %windir%\Temp\Avira and after that the setup.cmd is called! This is my command: copy /b 7zS.sfx + config.txt + av8.7z Avira_Antivir_8_Free_Silent.exe and this is the config.txt: ;!@Install@!UTF-8! RunProgram="hide.exe ""setup.cmd""" ;!@InstallEnd@! Note that the command hide.exe needs the parameter "setup.cmd" in quotes (hide.exe is an AutoIt-file that hides the CMD-window). Do you know what I'm doing wrong? Best regards and thanks a lot in advance!!! cool400
  24. Hi radix, is it possible to build a german silent-installer for the FW20/FW30? Best regards cool400
  25. @krose WOW - this is the best idea I ever saw to install AVIRA AntiVir completely silent and unattended! I don't like the AutoIt-scripts where you can see all the windows appearing and disappearing again (BTW, is it possible to hide these installation-windows with AutoIt, maybe with moving it out of the screen?) I ask myself if this also works for the new version 8 of AntiVir? Are there any new parameters in the INF-file that should also be considered? Does the INF-file work further? I will test this later today and will report my experiences here! EDIT: works like a charm I also found a way to avoid any kind of window appearing while the installation, so that it's now completely silent and unattended! If you're familiar with German, you can read my posting here: http://www.german-nlite.de/index.php?s=&am...st&p=119050 Best regards cool400
