  1. ok, so open the command prompt, and type C: ENTER next cd\temp and now run the xperf command to generate the summary xml.
  2. do you have write permissions to C:\temp?
  3. you've uploaded the wrong file. the kernel.etl is useless for me.
  4. yes, make a xbootmgr trace and send me the link.
  5. please upload the trace file (zip it first) to mediafire..com and send me a link.
  6. 64Bit uses a bit more space (32Bit Runtime files).
  7. add a GPU cooler or a chassis fan.
  8. Debugging tool Path You have a mistake in your path C:\WInDbg
  9. I think that's why MS changed it. But the time was not a good idea. Now some users think MS doesn't believe in Windows 8 MS has the talent make easy things complicated and this results in bad press
  10. the script works fine. I only had to change the path to the debugging tools.
  11. ok. Next please install the Sp1 + all Updates to get the best Windows 7 experience.
  12. no, MS only updated the support pages because they were confusing and didn't show that also home editions get security updates when products are in extended support.
  13. Your Intel® Core i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz contains the Intel HD 2000 graphic: http://ark.intel.com/products/53422/ http://www.intel.com/support/processors/corei3/sb/CS-032275.htm if you use a motherboard with Intel z68 or Intel H67 chipset you can use this included graphic unit. If should be fast enough for office usage.
  14. Why don't you use the buildin GPU (Intel HD 2000 which is embedded into your Intel i3) ? btw have you have made a trace which captured the issue?
  15. I think it runs WinSAT to check if Aero Glass can be enabled or not.
  16. which issue do you have? I see no nvlddmkm.sys DPC / Interrupt issue.
  17. the nVIDIA driver which is part of Windows 7
  18. use the inbox driver because MS provides Debug data for the driver. Run this command: xperf -start perf!GeneralProfiles.InBuffer && timeout -1 && xperf -stop perf!GeneralProfiles.InBuffer nVIDIA_issues.etl Compress the nVIDIA_issues.etl (only this file) and upload it.
  19. hmm, I can't see a conflict. try the inbox driver ("C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_nv_lh.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_4a5c7d78e486512b\) and capture a new trace. You can compress the file as 7z/RAR and upload it to mediafire.com. YOu can send me the link so that I can look at it.
  20. try older versions, too and check that the graphic card doesn't share a IRQ with other devices.
  21. It looks like MS released a hotfix to fix the issue: A process that is being terminated stops responding in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 So if you have the issue, follow the link "View and request hotfix downloads" and enter your email to request the fix.
  22. I can't see any DPC/Interrupt issues in your trace. The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim (TESV.exe) causes most CPU usage and if it is sluggish you should look at the game (reduce details, install updates for the game) or try a newer ATI catalyst driver like the 12.2 preview:
  23. integrate the latest graphic drivers into the image and try again.
  24. ? I still don't understand what you mean
  25. maybe or maybe not. I have no idea Do you have a friend who has updated from the older Intel iCore series to Sandy Bridge so that you can use his motherboard for testing?
