Have you really disabled the service? to see why services.msc opens so slowly you must run Process Monitor in background: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645 and after services.msc is shown, stop Process Monitor and look at the duration column in "Process Monitor" to see what takes most time.

I can't see why you get an error. You can try to import my SysMain-Service registry entries: SysMain.reg.txt (remove the .txt). Maybe this allows you to run Superfetch again.

run sfc /Scannow to detect missing and broken files. Maybe the sysmain.dll is corrupt.

make sure the values "EnableSuperfetch" and "EnablePrefetcher" in the registry are set to 3.
