  1. i once paid someone for a mobile phone, £150... never came through.

I threatend to report them to paypal to recover my funds, they sent me a cheque for £150. It CASHED!

By this time I had waited for ages and had already started proceeding with the paypal complaint... that succeeded too and I got another £150 back... he never contacted me again, and he ended up £150 down rather than me.

  2. you havn't burnt your disc correctly..

Try using some software that lets you burn images to discs...

You cant just put the image as a file onto the disc.

I use Nero to burn my CD image to a disc...

  3. I would imagine the icons would be specific to the game...

IE: If you;ve installed battlefield 2 and that logo is coming up in the game explorer as 32x32 all distorted..

I'd locate the icon file or even the exe for the game in that games installation directory and edit it using resource hacker.

  4. Can you check that the CD burned correctly? Check the contents...

Generally this comes up if it can't actually boot from the disc and there isn't anything else to boot from, IE Hard Drive.

  5. I downloaded the trial version of Office 2007 Professional from the M$ site.

Open up the installation, clicked install. About half way through it says it can't find file ProrWW.cab

If you click retry it just tries and fails, click cancel and the whole setup gets cancelled.

I re-downloaded it from M$ 2 more times to eliminate a faulty download.

I ran the extraction switch on the downloaded executable... /extract:###

I checked the location where i extracted it to, ran setup and still fails with same error.

Checked the extracted locations files, and the file is where it is supposed to be.

Delved a bit deeper into the MD5 hashing of that file and the reference made to this in a setup.xml file.

It appears the MD5 number listed in the setup.xml file is different to what the ProrWW.cab is reporting.

I edited the xml file to match, but setup won't even start now.

I copied the original setup.xml file back and setup does begin but obviously still fails with same problem.

I'm guessing I could just wait until microsoft realises this problem.

But in the mean time if any one knows how to change an MD5 number on an actual file?

Or maybe how to edit an xml file and save it but without it changing the MD5 number?

  6. how can u make a mistake in sex!!! what stick it in her belly button by mistake? rofl... surely you meant relationships.... one mistake and forever be reminded of it... I know thats true!

  7. I assumed it was modifype problem aswel...

I extracted the opuc.dll from the opuc.dl_ file, and tried to run modifype on it... it didnt work. :(

I copied opuc.dll to an xp pc and ran modifype on it, it worked. Copied it back, cabbed it back up and hey presto the install works.

  8. I've now installed vista, i'm trying to run HFSLIP on my XP source. It says "you are advised to run HFSLIp with administrator priveledges" of which I have.

When I create an image of SOURCES and burn it, install it, comes up with error couldn't copy OPUC.DLL during text setup.

Never had this when using HFSLIP on XP...

  9. I have no problems with handing out the resources... in fact, you can get to the resources with xpize.

I only compressed it as im a space saving freek, the file was 2 and a bit meg before compression... now its less than half a meg!
