What program did you use to remove the files?
Last_session points out to me that it was Nlite?
But this isn't the nlite forum... catch my drift?

There are processes set to run after a reboot by the hotfix 900325
Need to manually run these and you can use MCE without restarting...
I can post the commands to be entered into the run box if needed...

I created an admin install in C:\OFFICE
I then slipstreamed Service Pack3 like so...
msiexec /p C:\OFFICE\DATA1.MSI /a C:\OFFICEUPDATES\MAINSP3.MSP /qb
However, after I install this admin installation of office onto a pc and check office update...
It says I need SP3?!
Have I missed something?

Are you guys having a laugh?
Would you like me to list every hotfix and microsoft product installed?
I have net 1.0 + sp3
I have 1.1 + sp1
I have installed all of the MCE updates,
I then install Net2.0, when I go to run MCE it comes up with an error, but restarting it fixes this...
If I didnt have .NET 1.0 SP3 or .NET 1.1 SP1 I would have said... It doesnt work at all...

Does anyone know a way around this then?

Ok, unfortunately those keys don't fix it...
However I've found out if you change add this key to the following, it stops asking to install activex...
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{6E32070A-766D-4EE6-879C-DC1FA91D2FC3}\iexplore]
"Flags"=dword:00000004Change it to 00000000 to see it ask for the activex controls, and 00000004 for it to not ask.
Going to test this on an fresh install...

@ SUper Magician
Tried that!
@ Tomcat76
I've deleted those keys, and tried Microsoft update...
Didnt ask for active x.
Gonna add it to my reg file and run a test install, will report back after.

I registered the MUCLTUI.DLL on a clean install.
