would you mind uninstalling xpize darkside, and then test safemode. Please let me know how you get on.

With the new version:
You won't need to have XPize installed. And I would thoroughly recommend uninstalling it before installing XPize Darkside.

My bad, I thought you was using the scroller boot screen and patching the ntoskrnl file!

It looks awsome however can someone tell me how to get this to work. I have XPize installed but dont know how to get the darkside to work.
Not sure how you could be having difficulties? It's a simple executable installer... that looks and works exactly the same way the XPize installer does!
@papashex
No not the boot screen... need you to test it without the LOGIN screen ta!

Just out of interest can you try uninstaller xpize darkside... does the issue still occur?
Also, if it doesn't could you try reinstalling but de-select the logon screen.
Cheers

If so the bootscreen posted by nateklomp looks ace1!

Reloader that XPize uses will be included in the next release. But you should change the reloader, it looks like an installer now; check it out.
The Server Family image will be removed for the next release.the text is a bit high on bootscreen and its also moved slightly to the left.
A Winntbbu.dll (setup screen) will be included in the next release. How to make windows setup look black like this?
Will touch up the logo for the next release.i think that the Windows XP logo on the logon is not quite as clear as the logo found on the original logon
Nope that file isnt, will add support for ntkrnlmp.exe for the next release. Some processor architectures also uses file ntkrnlmp.exe. Is this covered?
Ok, I'm going to remove the Server Family image. Also, not sure what you mean about "You should give me the ability to get the modified" ?you may modify the bootscreen resources to make it "smoother". But: You should give me the ability to get the modified.
Sorry no other switches in this version, but the next release will have a variety of switches. Is there a switch to bypass the bootscreen as with XPize?0 -
Thanks!0

Thanks Steam_Trout, I was aware that the reloader may have problems like this but was unsure how to get them working together.
The next release will be independent of XPize, and thus the reloader problem will be fixed.

Can this be slipstreamed into an Unattended CD like Xpize can? Or do I need to slipstream Xpize and then run this once Windows has been installed?
This can't be slipstreamed yet.I would advice slipstreaming XPize, and then installing XPize Darkside. A Future release will support slipstreaming, and will no longer be classed an "add-on".
Also, it appears as tho the images where the backgrounds have been replaced (with a darker gradient) look to have pixelated edges?Would be greatful if you could point out which backgrounds look pixelated... You are correct, that is how I created the black backgrounds.
any chance you could share just the logoff dialogue box?I have done... just download XPize Darkside

My solution is to run the uninstaller, then reinstall Flash.
Works like a charm. I only had issues with it "un-registering" twice, both times this fixed it.

Worked! thanks

I know my title is a bit unclear...
If I go on a webpage that requires Flash i get the normal message.... "You need flash bla bla bla..."
I go to the adobe flash site, install it... it comes up "Flash player installed succesfully"
Go back to the site and it still says i need flash...

Would like to double click a vbs script that is on a network drive without the security prompt coming up... ie: just opens the file outright.
Any ideas?

I use the XPize Installer, which seems to work fine, I havn't had any complaints that it hasn't yet.
You should make your posts a bit clearer... the original didn't really explain what you wanted!

O, what I mean't was... what was the point of creating this topic?
I've already got a method of applying the bootscreen, which seems to work well enough.

What logon screen have you been left with? Blue or Darkside? Also... did you uninstall XPize Darkside BEFORE XPize?
