  1. POS 466 w\2 40 gigs western digital drives 3-4yrs old. P.S. All recovered just fine and now the drive tests as okay. Can this drive be trusted? Was it just a freak occurance?
  2. Thanks for the info restorer 2000 pro is working on it now looks like it all is recoverable even if might take 2days worth of cpu cycles. What is the best check to run on the drive afterwards to check the integrity???
  3. Please someone help me. Windows XP I rebooted and the system would not boot tried safe mode no go. So I did a repair installation and now the system boots just fine and windows works as normal. NOW the big problem: My second drive has dissapeared windows does not show it. Boot recognizes it, acronise recognizes it as a dynamic volume, same with norton partition magic. Hardware manager shows the dynamic volume and says it is offline??????WTF????? THE Biggest thing is this **** thing is my secondary drive and has all of my files and work on it. 7 gigs of work and weeks and hours of work gone does any one have an idea how to fix???

OK here is the problem= I have customized a lot of files in my XP-CD and after a new install for some reason my log-off and shut down backgrounds (the Little pic the buttons reside on) now shows as like 150% of original size. Totally stretched out. This is annoying the hell outta me. Someone HELP!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I haev moved the progress bar both up and down that is all you ca really get it to move. There is a program I found that will do this for you (just click and drag the progress bar to where you want it then save) http://www.belchfire.net/~userxp/indexbe.htm Read the site carefully using it in XP is hard at first need to manually add dll files it needs. Also another hint is put the ntoskrnl files in their own folder inside the boot editor folder.

  9. Okay Asta do you know ofhand in reshack wich icon it is?? What prog do you use for icon editing and design?
  10. I know how to change it I can't find its location. Also I want icon program for designing and editing icons.
  11. Where is the icon in this pic located??? I.E. which dll and string? Also which program for editing icons do you guys use/suggest??? Money is no object but freeware is preferable I want the most user-friendly and powerfull.
  12. Okay I had this prob and solved it pretty easily. Take these steps. In WPI.cmd add this line: regedit /s "%WPIPATH%\common\killinstallerwarning.reg" Right Below= regedit /S "%WPIPATH%\common\wpi.reg" in the registry tweaks needed part. Them put the attached reg file in the common folder. Violla install security warnins dead.

  14. That is what I was doing wrong I still had my sfx file installing the fonts. I works awesomely thank you very much!!!!! P.S. I was up half the night with this very problem. Thank you.
  15. I am sorry but I must be missin something I can't get the font install program to work right and I am just tryin to install 1 font with it.
  16. Just redid a couple of systems and figured out that install by category is not working? Any ideas??
  17. just change the user settings in your scripts file. i.e. useroptions in the scripts file. var showOptBtn=true;
  18. i only replaced my ntoskrnl.exe in my i386 folder and no problems here so it does work replacing the actuall files.
  19. Don't bother with replacing it just delete it I did that awhile ago and never looked back.
