  1. It still won't work... There is a 4gig limit on the main wim file. You could possibly split it over like 9cd's but that would defeat the purpose, wouldn't it? Honestly though why create a all updated cd?
  2. According to the EULA what you want done is actually illegal. If you read the whole thing you will see that this would be illegal in several ways. http://download.microsoft.com/documents/us...89cf5105718.pdf I am sorry to tell you, but this is very close to the edge of being banned. I know that you may not have the paitence or the will to make an SP2 copy but what I would suggest is to "Save your license" and wait untill SP2 is out in full.... You can evaluate Vista for 120 days with out activating "see here --> http://itsvista.com/2007/01/itsvista-tip-2...rearm-function/ " so just save your 1 and ONLY license for the time when you can make or aquire a sp2 disk... Distributing, what would be considered warez is not good for the community.
  3. No you won't have to remove anything to slipstream sp1. It's just if you go crazy and add all of the hotfixes. Yes by base os I mean the OS you are working on. As long as you have liek an external drive, 4 gig or bigger thumb-drive or another way to transfer the files then yes you can copy the iso to your laptop and burn it from there... You will need to download the installers from MS. However www.wincert.net has a tool called VUT that willl allow for easy selection of and grabbing of the fixes for you. http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4601
  4. Enjoy your ban! Plus don't share a creation of MINE!!! I was asked to remove it for a damned reason!!!
  5. OK lets clear the air up a bit... SP1, yes you can do just fine it just takes s long while. The reason why people haven't been able to use SP1 or updates afterwards is because of the removals... (POST-Installation! not "pre") You will have to do at least a little removal because of the size. There is a 4 gig limit on the image size (Just the actual wim image size) SO what I suggest is pick the version you have the license for and slipstream SP1 in that version. Then click on apply and rebuild only that version. Set that iso image aside on a seperate hard drive or DVD (call that your new "Base" image). Now run vLite again and remove the languages (I see your american) so pick all langs. That will strip out ALOT of space so you can have room to add the hotfixes in. There are a couple of other semi-large things you can remove and still keep updating ability. Also you'll HAVE to work on a 64x base OS to do all of this. If you aren't on a 64x base os install it once without using your key, mix your disk then re-install with your updated disk.
  6. Reshack... Thats really all there is to it. http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
  7. If I remember the source files right there are dozens of examples on making the scripts for patching of the files... Look at the existing scripts and see what they say.
  8. "%wpipath%\Install\klmcodec442.exe" /verysilent /norestart /LoadInf="klmcp.ini" Works for me.
  9. Can I see your config? You can email it to me if you don't want to attach it here... Kelsenellenelvian @ gmail.com
  10. HAHAHAHHA you got sent to another country like a lot of us have!!! (Most of us went to Kabul...) Actually it is one of the hofixes. MS added in a bunch of timezones and f'ed up all the codes with it. I am not sure which one it is but a good search in the nLite section will provide your answer, or someone that knows it off of the top of their head might be kind enough to post it....
  11. Just use nLite to integrate Ryan's pack. That way you can do it all in one pass.
  12. It's not in the I386 folder it's in the $oem$ folder and called by cmdlines.txt.
  13. For vista you need this archive... http://www.wpiw.net/downloads/sources.rar Simply extract to the root of your vista CD and off ya go.
  14. Do you have a link to the offending software? So I can try it?
  15. YAY!!! Finally to have power again!!! Mwhahhahhahaha.
  16. What does your batch file say in it?
  17. I agree with Jaclaz! Any prepared person with physical access to the thumb-drive can have your info in a matter of a handful of days, if not hours. I haven't had much experience bypassing print readers, but am assured and have witnessed them being bypassed with things as simple as a COPY (Yes a Xerox-type copy) bypassing them. Plus if it's on the thumb-drive itself you can be assured its not too sophisticated of one. As for the password I have bypassed many passwords in the past on things from bios to windows to programs. It's not hard and there is ready access to tons of programs that will nicely or, by brute force bypass nearly any password...
  18. That is called the "Devils Own" key actually. It was the first released VLK or Corp key... That key will not activate or work on a SP1 or above XP installation... (Plus it will never show as genuine)
  19. Its functional like that, Barely but it is still functional...
  20. New PC? Is it a SATA based PC? If so then your issue is there. As for the blacklisted code thing, you are wrong starting with sp1 MS built in hundreds of blacklisted codes that where released on the net or found to be pirated. If you don't believe me try a key that starts with FCKGW-****-*****-*****-*****. So far several hundred keys are not accepted by the os at all. You'll get this info when you put the key in.
  21. #1 The original key # has most likely been blacklisted... (Means that the SP will deny it as an illegal key) #2 Try JUST slipstreaming SP3 and making an install with only that modification. #3 last_session.ini is on your disk.
  22. Yup it can go to. (As long as you aren't using a printer or have the drivers you need.) Setup doesn't use them.
