  1. hi all, I am on fire with my dvd its coming out nice, little bites and pieces thou, really quick which I need. Well right now I just need the ending to this; REG ADD %KEY%\010 /VE /D "Java 1.5.0.06" /f REG ADD %KEY%\010 /V 1 /D "%PP%Java\jre-1_5_0_06-windows-i586-p.exe /s /v"/qn /f I know I am missing something but I dont know what it is... 3. Thanks, I will look into that. If any one else has any input please share your ideas. thanks again.
  4. Thanks alot I did it and it works. Thanks again. I have learned(learning) a lot here.
  5. I want to be able to change My Documents from pointing to local pc to point to a network drive with the username. The current share drive is \\bladata1\users$\%UserName% how can I make the change permanent for the UA DVD. This way when a user clicks on My Documents it automatically takes them to the Target: \\bladata1\users$\%UserName% (user name of course being the current user) folder. I know how to change once I am logged on but I want the change to take in affect as part of the installation. I have been looking but I can't find. I thought i might find it on the Microsoft Office 2003 Custom Installation Wizard but it doesn't seem to be there and I guess it make sense not to be there since I "think" thats part of the OS. If someone can point me to the proper place then I can try and figure out. Thanks.
  6. Does someone know where I can find this slipstream that booooogy is talking about. It would be real helpful if i can get that. REG ADD %KEY%\050 /VE /D "Applying Norton Antivirus 10 Patch" /f REG ADD %KEY%\050 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Patch\AllWinEN.msp /qb-" /f Everytime this runs the pc reboots after its finished.... Thanks All.
  7. I have that vbscript too and i tried localy on my desktop but it doesn't work. So I saw no point in adding to my dvd. I am trying to do a comparason of two pcs one with the icon checked and the other. I taught this would have been an easy.
  8. Thanks VCC, yeah so far it looks good I may try the other drivers too (chipset, wlan, sound etc...) thanks for getting back to me... Sometimes we forget thier is a life after computers. (i think) B)
  9. Hi All, Just wanted to see how's people time of completion from popping in your UA CD/DVD to when all is finished. I actually ran it twice today modifying a few things and my start time was 9:55am finished at 10:53am , my second time was 11:44am finished at 12:38pm. So a little less than an hour. Of coures I have only a few things to install; - Windows XP and MUI - Office 2k3 tweaked - Norton Antivirus 10 and install of patch - Adobe 7.05 - and the usual tweaks... My OS of choice is XP I have been playing around with Vista so far seems ok. I haven't downloaded the latest one but I will soon. Just a small survey to see what you guys are up to.... P.S. This is my first time posting a poll so sorry if it's lame.... Thanks,
  10. boooggy, I didn't know you can do that and secondly I dont know how to. Any input would be great on how to do that. Thanks,
  11. Bâshrat the Sneaky Sure enuff I made changes as you stated and it worked, Thanks again.
  12. Hi All, This should be a painless fix (I hope). Once this application runs in the RunOnceEx.cmd it reboots after installation. I have a few other thing that need to run after. Can someone tell me if I am using the wrong syntax. REG ADD %KEY%\050 /VE /D "Applying Norton Antivirus 10 Patch" /f REG ADD %KEY%\050 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Patch\AllWinEN.msp /qb-" /f Thanks.
  13. Hi Guys, Can someone tell me what's the reg tweak to add "Show icon in notification area when connected" in the Local Area Connection properties as a reg tweak? I would like it to show on the toolbar for everyone. Thanks in advance for your help.
  14. My bad, my apologies. I just wasn't sure what i had done wrong. I'll make those corrections and will try it. Thanks for the info. PS make sure you get your homework done...
  15. Bâshrat the Sneaky you on vacation? help me please.....
  16. This is the same pc I have used for several months just for testing purposes. It has worked in the past prior to me using the driver pack. I had another issue that my nic drivers for some reason got corrupted. It was suggested that I use the driver pack, I figured why not since it has so many drivers to begin with. Once I tried it did not install the lan drivers. Once the machine is up I'll run manually driver update and point to the D\L... and it copies and installs the driver. My main question or problem may be that I did not install this package correctly to my XPCD. Thats were I am lost at. Thanks
  17. I thought for sure I would get a reply here at this post, am I at the right place...? Should I post elsewhere? Just need a little help. Thanks,
  18. Hey VCC, I can use your help. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=108 See above post I am having some trouble gettng the driver pak to install driver. Thanks
  19. Does this look right? I am using for the first time, Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks. The lines I am wondering about are OemPnPDriversPath. I appreciate any help This from my winnt.sif; ;SetupMgrTag [Data] MsDosInitiated = "No" AutoPartition=0 UnattendedInstall="Yes" AutomaticUpdates=No [Unattended] OemPnPDriversPath = "D\L\3\1;D\L\3\2;D\L\3\3;D\L\AM;D\L\AU;D\L\B;D\L\BU\1;D\L\BU\2;D\U\3;D... NonDriverSigningPolicy = "Ignore" DriverSigningPolicy = "Ignore" OemPreinstall = "Yes" UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes TargetPath=\WINDOWS OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\000_chipset_dc5000_d530_evo;\Drivers\020_intel_graphics;\... 20. Hi All, I am new to using this driver package thingy. It was suggested in another post by VCC that I try Bashrat T.S.'s DriverPacks, do to an issue I was having at T-32 while installing the network drivers so I did. Pretty impressive of the work and time you have put into this. Thanks. Problem I an having is the following which may just be that I am new to this; My UA DVD installs fine and after its final reboot the network driver does not install, I see the D folder on the c:\ drive but the when I check the device manager the network driver was not installed. I just want to see what I did wrong. First let me explain what I did, I followed the instructions and downloaded the materials needed and I believe I placed everything in its proper folders (here may lie the problem). I then copied as suggested in the instructions ("the CONTENTS ONLY of the folder UWXPCD_ROOT to the root of your Unattended Windows XP CD (2)) I copied this to c:\XPCD was this the right place? Here's how the contents of my XPCD looks; And this is the contents of the $OEM$; And this is part of my winnt.sif file; Please let me know what I did wrong, thanks for your help. Express This was who suggested your site and product.
  21. Hey Guys, Thanks it worked the funny thing is both ways worked. I did two the way Yzöwl said and the other as muiz suggested and they both worked. Thanks again,
  22. Thanks guys I'll try both... will let you know...
  23. Ok I know this has to be an easy one for someone to figure out; I placed this in my winnt.sif so when IE is started all I would do is go to Favorites and chose one of the three. [FavoritesEx] Title1="Bloomberg.url" URL1="www.bloomberg.com" Title2="Reuters.url" URL2="www.reuters.com" Title3="Expenses" URL3="my.concureworkplace.com/CompanySelection.asp" But when I go there and try to start one of the three I get an error ("Problem with shortcut" The target "" of the Internet Shortcut is not valid. Go to the Internet Shortcut property sheet and make sure the target is correct.)
  24. Thanks Shark, nuff said, I'll check those drivers. Thanks again, I appreciate your time and knowledge. Express
