  1. Isn't it basically just "Next" "Cancel" "Exist" "Back" and other stuff like that? I wouldn't think you'd need an actual translator for that. Google Translate would work fine. If it's more complicated than that, let me know. I don't speak any Russian, and I am using the newer module. edit-- Here's an example:
  2. Will this still be able to successfully patch the contents of an i386 folder?
  3. I didn't know that XPize ever created ISOs. Will there be a release that can integrate as a hotfix like in the original XPize versions? Or has that method long since been abandoned?

    xpize 5 Beta 3

Anyone that's using Vista should seriously consider upgrading to Windows XP.

    xpize 5 Beta 2

you can add the xpize*.exe as a hotfix into nLite. is that what you're talking about? i've followed xpize from the very beginning and i haven't heard of any xpize hotfixes for nlite besides that.
  6. Oh, I see now. I didn't realize this thread was created back in March. Now it all makes sense.
  7. I'm confused. Why use your own DLLs? Wouldn't it be more efficient to make a single Anolis package that can replace the resources as needed? That way when a user updates 7zip, he can simply run the Anolis package again to replace the resources in the 7zip DLL, and that way you're not put in a position where you'll have a lot of disappointed folks in the event that you fail to upgrade your DLLs in a timely manner. I'm assuming you had already considered that, so I'm mainly curious as to why you decided against it. Your reasons for not creating an Anolis package for the end-user might be of use to W3bbo (and the rest of the Anolis team).

    xpize 5 Beta 2

    That doesn't address my question.

    xpize 5 Beta 2

Does Anolis work on Vista? Could XPize 5 be used on Vista? If not, will package developers be able to establish environment conditions for their packages prior to installation (e.g., check to see if it's XP SP3; check to see if EU has IE8; check for Professional or Home; check for specific software; check for other proprietary conditions)? I know nothing about Vista resources (I won't touch Vista with a 10' pole), so I apologize in advance if that seems like a stupid question.
  10. "How dare you guys fail to freely volunteer your talent for me! I demand an explanation as to why you've not met your deadlines!" C'mon dude. There's no need to be so abrasive here. He'll get to it when his schedule allows it.
  11. What makes that a better option? In all likelihood that "Universal Theme Patcher" is using the same source DLLs that were created by Rafael Rivera, which means that the end result is the same as W3bbo's. And if it's not using Rivera's patch, then W3bbo's is better. I don't really see in instance in which that one would be better at all, let alone "a lot better."

    Yer beta

Looks like there are still a few issues, but everything is looking a lot better. I found a missing bitmap again within Display Properties. Device Manager now starts, but it doesn't populate at all (this might be a residual effect of the previous release's bug). And there are some out-dated bitmaps that I found. I'm not sure if these are supposed to be updated, but they're in such a conspicuous location that I figured they would have been targeted by Xpize a long time ago.

    Yer beta

I might have been a bit premature in saying that "most" have vanished. What happened was I noticed that when I went into Display Properties, resources were gone on a few of the tabs. So I ran Winver to be sure I had SP3 (I was thinking maybe I had SP2 on this system, which caused the problems) and I noticed resources were missing there. Then I went to System Properties and I noticed that the Oemlogo had vanished (not pictured below). Then I posted here saying that "most" had vanished, but I think that's probably the extent of it, actually. It did not.

    Yer beta

I had the same problem with Device Manager and the like. For the most part, all of my resources have vanished. Let's just hope that System Restore is feeling friendly today.

    Yer beta

Awesome! I'll give this a whirl on my desktop in the next couple of days.
  16. Maybe ask Ricktendo64? I know he's a bit into resource editing, and he seems to enjoy making screencasts as well because he's done quite a few.
  17. edit- bloops. double post.
  18. I'll be testing in a VM. If necessary, I can write my own uninstaller. So no, I don't need one and I would prefer to beta test sooner than later without one.
  19. I believe that Norton also flags RVMi.
  20. Don't use TBSource. That's your problem. Write your own tracker or don't try to host a bittorrent tracker. TBSource is garbage. If you are going to use a prepackaged one, just go with Echo. It's a lot easier on the server than TBS, and it has a much cleaner look.
  21. I'm normally the first to bash Vista themes because I think they all look like rainbow-colored vomit, but this one is actually nice. I like it. I'll be adding it to my assortment of themes.
