There's a lot of crap that gets installed in the English distribution of Nero Burning Rom. No wonder why almost all forum users is complaining and use repacked distributions. Thanks for the Start Smart tweak... Rewrote the script above to handle AskToolbar and Scout better, but it need testing.

I have updated above post to delete toolbar.exe if i's found after extraction. It's a testrelease because I don't have AksToolbar in my language setupfile. Are you really using the latest setup from ahead?

It seems that further testing is needed to disable the installation of AskToolbar if it's found . I don't know if it's included in all distributions however. Can you try to delete the AskToolbar installer within the script and see what happens?

I have found a way using my own custom conf.txt and apply it during unattended installation. I'm not however using an administrative installation source. Ahead switched installation package from WinRAR to 7-Zip. That move made the extracted directory to %TEMP% random. Because of this I made a simple AutoIT-script to make use of the original installation package. I believe this script can handle Multilanguage distributions but it needs testing. This is my way of installing Nero 7.9.6.0. I have this strange problem myself when I was trying to integrate with nLite... When Xpize was trying to integrate I looked in the tempfolder "Logs". And I was confused that not a single file is being patched! [FileNames] Exe=Backup\shell32.dll SaveAs=NewFiles\shell32.dll Log=Logs\shell32.dll.log [Commands] Error: "Backup\shell32.dll" does not exist Almost all files I have in i386 dir are compressed and it looks like only uncompressed files will be patched! Do I really have to uncompress every file in i386 to integrate Xpize? Is this a bug or am I doing something really lame? Thanks anyway XPero for making this awesome pack!

IncrediMailSetup.exe /silent pskill IncMail.exe pskill IMApp.exe Incredimail automatically starts after installation and also shows help-screens, thats why I use pskill to close them. If there is another way I would like to know...

The only solution is to update to a newer release of NOD32! You have a version thats older than 1 year and by updating to version 2.51.20 you don't get that message.

You are absolutely correct about the patch. I only tested it with the new Swedish release. After a clean install of the old Swedish package of 7.0.0 the file “RdLang32.SVE” is being patched with 7.0.1 update. Why is Adobe keeping the download of the single file “RdLang32.SVE” when the patch addresses a few more fixes? Probably because it was a really nasty bug when you can’t even type a single “v”. I have recently downloaded both Swedish 7.0.0 Full & Basic versions from http://www.adobe.com and both of them have now updated “RdLang32.SVE”. Tested and fully working…

I didn't catch that at first glimpse but here's a clarification on the status of Adobe Reader for Swedish users. First of all... Swedish=Svenska Second... The strange thing is that the Swedish patch "Rdlang32.sve" isn't needed any more with the new release of 7.0.0. The file included "Rdlang32.sve" dated 2005-03-14 is already patched. These lines can be safely removed. You are absolutely right about unUPXing it won't make any difference when my NOD32 AV-solution is turned off. I first manually unUPXed this utility 'upx.exe -d nircmd.exe' and noticed a huge speed increase with my AV turned on (from ~ 16min to 1.20min) . As you can see it's my AV software that is causing all this trouble. UPXed files have a special header that seems suspicious for many AV-solutions. I will disable my AV-software before patching next time. If I’m the only one with this trouble there’s no point in unpacking this utility.

Users with antivirus software checks nircmd.exe frequently and slow down the patching process quite a bit. Can you Bâshrat please unUPX this file for the next release of Driverpacks-BASE? Maybe I have to upgrade my computer soon, but a speed increase is always welcome. My first post! And more to come hopefully!
