  1. You could put a reboot in after installing autoit and before installing anything else...
  2. Quicklaunch icons are in Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch. I use WinRAR to compress my documents and such and then extract them during setup. There should be several posts where instructions are given for doing this.
  3. Once Winamp installs it bring up a menu where it asks you a few questions (internet connection, whether or not ot use the systray icon, etc). Therefore, it isn't 100% silent.
  4. Then please enlighten us in getting rid of WMP8...
  5. I wonder how I can automate this...
  6. "conversely the files can be extracted and placed in the folder root and their older counterparts removed with only the cat files required to remain in the SVCPACK folder with resolves the space problems for those without dvr drives who want all the update files" So I extract the hotfixes and replace the older files in the i386 directory with them and place the .cat files in the svcpack folder and this should work?
  7. I was thinking of trying out a modified boot screen, but the one I was going to use is having some problems. If I can get the boot screen to work, I'd be more than happy to test it myself.
  8. I must be really out of the loop--there are 800MB CD-Rs nowadays?
  9. The /S switch seems to work, but at the end of installation it displays an error about not being able to delete C:\Program Files. Is there a better switch I could use?
  10. How about ntoskernel.exe?
  11. I'd attempt to make a chrome setup screen, but unless I can change the text color it would be a little hard to read (not that anyone pays attention to the text anyway...).
  12. OK, I've noticed something. The script works just fine so long as the shell has loaded. The problem I'm having is getting the script to run automatically at that point. Anything in runonce runs before the shell loads. Does anyone know a workaround?
  13. This should be somewhere in your winnt.sif then: [Data] AutoPartition=0 [Unattended] Repartition=No With that, Setup will let you choose the partition and whether to quick format or not. and just out of curiosity, why do you install both 95 and 98?
  14. Autopartition=0 as I recall...
  15. First of all, is there a way to make it stop asking to authorize the quicklaunch script? That and CDex are the only things stopping this from being a totally unattended install (well, then there's Winfast PVR, but that's another issue I doubt I'll be able to resolve). Second, is there a way to install the latest updates to NAV (or at least the virus definitions) silently? I've seen the method for Corp 8.1, but that doesn't look like it'll work for NAV.
  16. Is there a way to change the text color? I've got an idea...
  17. That should be very useful..
  18. Guess I should read FAQs more often.
  19. Interesting. I wonder how that happens...
  20. Modify the two sleep commands to have a longer timer. It works for me. Does anyone know a way to expand the taskbar to two rows?
  21. Put this line at the beginning of your .reg file (assuming it isn't there already) Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
  22. Web, sadly.
  23. Is there a way to silently install the Google Toolbar? I'm growing rather attached to it.
  24. Interesting. This sounds really familiar. Pity I never solved that problem on my dad's comp, either...
