As a result of a Beep-Boop-Beep-Boop noise from my PC this morning, I now need to by a new CPU fan. This is premature for me as I was hoping get an Athlon 64 later this year with accompanying fan, motherboard and new, fast Ram. I now need to buy a CPU fan for my Athlon XP1.5 that will be compatible with the latest Athlon 64, I think it’s the 3400+. …….Oh yes, it has to be quiet as well! Possible the Spire WhisperRock IV or one by Zalman but not sure if they are compatible with the Athlon 64? Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Im trying to pin my fav apps to the start menu for my unattached disk. I've tryed using Regshot to find a tweak without any joy. I've also tryed putting them in c:\XPSP1a\$OEM$\$Docs\All Users\Start Menu, but this didnt work either? anyone know?

I read information in NFO files a lot in notepad. This tweak will set Notepad to edit NFO files

might have it sussed, but NOT tested. Install Agent 2 normaly, configer it how you like, enter serial no. and then find the AGENT.INI file in the DATA folder. Install Agent again using the X switch, E.g This will extract all data out of the exe file. You could then copy the previous AGENT.INI over the extracted one and put everything in the $OEM$\$Progs folder. Just create shortcuts in the start menu and bob is your uncle! As i said, NOT tested yet, but let me know how it goes.

Thanks all. paul3vanz, I already moved K-lite above some apps but recieved the same error. I will try installing it first, before any other app. If is doesnt work i will have to go with another.

I have the same problem, it installs into C:\. im going to try this in my next test version: The X apparently alows you to specify an install directory. Havent tested this yet. Have you sussed how to import the serial number?

Currently creating an Unattended XP cd and am wondering what codec to install with it. There are so many to choose, K-lite, Divx 5.1 bundel, Xvid pack, Ligos Indeo, DivX Total Pack etc. Is the difference the quality of en- and de-coding? Is there on type that contains ALL the codec needed? Which one do you use and why? P.s. I tryed installing the K-lite codec 2.25 unattended but kept getting an error linked with the file iac25_32.ax.

Does anybody here use Zone Alarm? As i,ve tried alsorts to get this to install silently i might just as well tape it to the inside of the case and tell it to shut up! (silent install)

What sort of problems? I still have issues when VMware installs but i think that due to installing it within a virtual VMware machine. Havent tryed installing it on a pc yet. You know you've put: with an 's' at the end.

Not to sure what you mean by this, Aaron This is a sample of my RunOnceEx.cmd Do you mean remove the spaces between each entry or the gap between their individual number? PS. The screen rez was set to 1152 x 864 so i,ve changed it to 800 x 600, but surely, this would make it smaller?

I,ve search around and cant find an answer to this: When running the RunOnceEx.cmd the dialog box goes off the bottom of the screen and i cant see whats being installed due to the number of apps listed. I've adjusted the screen resouloution in the Winnt.sif to 800x600, but havent testes this yet. Will it work? Is there a way of splitting the RunOnceEx dialog box into 2 columns or 2 dialog boxes?

Trying to Shhhhhh quitely install VMware4. Created an administrative installation image using the giude found on the vmware site, but am a bit lost as to how to write it into my RunOnceEx. This is what i have: and this is how i've entered it into my RunOnceEx.cmd: Is this OK?
