  1. Forgot to mention: I'm using Powerpacker at the moment. Guess it has something to do with the attributes of the files in the source. But i'm not able to change them :s
  2. What could be the reason of this error? [bUSY] A) cleanup B) slipstreaming DriverPacks C) settings _ back-up of WINNT.SIF made. _ back-up of TXTSETUP.SIF made. _ back-up of DOSNET.INF made... _ back-up of DRVINDEX.INF made... Error: Could not write to file Error: Could not write to file Error: Could not write to file Error: Could not write to file And will it work by ignoring the error?
  3. found my error: there was a winnt.sif file in my source files... This one was not overwritten by the one I selected with powerpacker. Now I have an other problem (I guess not with powerpacker but with the driverpacks) In step1 I get this error: _ back-up of DRVINDEX.INF made.. Error: Could not write to file The 'Error: Could not write to file' comes up more then once. No idea how to solve this at the moment
  4. Just tested RC5 have a question: The winnt.sif files are edited by powerpacker itself I guess? They are not all the same (lot of things missing in them) They should be all the same except the serial key and the guirunonce section.
  5. BartPE would be nice yes. But what about the size? When you select the 'tri-pack" option. How mutch more space does it need? (I want it all to fit on 1 CD) Full unattended is nice :-) (but I still have to find out how te edit the BTS script to be unattended for that) Other question: is it possible to change the bootscreen?
  6. No, unable to download... And I have an other update: KB894391
  7. And that was exactly what I was asking for... the links to those download pages :-)
  8. Someone has the links to these updates? (not direct links, I need the dutch versions...) Seems like the first post is not updated yet...
  9. Indeed: http://www.binarity.com/cracks/7780-downlo...packer-1-0.html No idea what kind of a virus it is. But hey, they have a lot of software there
  10. try this: http://makeashorterlink.com/?A2C85368B
  11. Seems to work with other languages too (tested on dutch version) It does not add an entry in the registry under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\ Still have to find out where it does (I use a script to install hotfixes)
  12. Does it works for other languages too?
  13. Same problem here. How can you integrate this in windows? Same way as the other hotfixes? (now I have to find an other key too ) I want an unattended installation where you have the option to change the key after installation (so users can use their own key)
  14. Yes, same error without the DP's. (I always try first without them) No one else here uses nLite? finaly found it: If you remove 'manual install and update' with nLite, you get a BSOD. deleting the win* folder in I386 is not a problem.
  15. Hi, had some free time todat at work, so did some tests again with nLite. Had to find what was causing the error. So first I tried the powerpacker without using nLite: It works! (great program ) After that, nLite: error... So, let's not integrate the tweaks I use in nLite: same error Ok, don't integrate the hotfixes: same error So the only thing left : the removal of some sourcefiles. Most of them are folders on the winXP-CD, so let's try do delete them manualy: works great, no errors. Now I just have to find out what exactly is the file I can not remove with nLite, or is there an other file edited by nLite that makes the installation corrupt... Here are the files I delete with nLite appart from the folders: Music samples MSN explorer Windows messenger Manual install and upgrade (winnt.exe, winnt32.exe, setup.exe ...) Search assistant Tour That's it. So could it be one of these things? I will do some tests later this week. But my girlfriend (actualy ex) complains that I spend to much time on my pc
  16. Is this possible with command line too? Would be verry usefull
  17. Has anyone made it to work with nLite? Still have to test it a couple of times, but time is expensive :-) ****... need to get some sleep. Sometimes I hate it being a computerfreak..
  18. I used nLite, so I guess that's the 'problem'. With or without the DP's. What exactly causes the problem is something I'll try to find out now.
  19. Nice program! (I guess) Had some time today to test is. Some remarks: It's not easy to understand the main screen. But it's ok for most of the people over here I guess :-) A tutorial for changing the bootscreen would be nice to. And as said before: the tree structure is not so nice . I've just did my fist test in VMware and had this BSOD error: Session3_initialization_failed let's try again
  20. I've ben googeling around for a half an hour. Nothing to find, also searched in this and other fora. But where does windows stores this info? Could it be changed silent?
  21. Hi, I would like to auto hide the taskbar. But I'm not able to locate the registry key to change this. I noticed that the key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\Components\0] changed. But, manualy import this in the registry did not work. Someone any idea? (and i'm not looking for auto hiding the icons next to the clock)
  22. Please say Telenut, not Telenet :-) (they do not like me ) I used the driver packs on a verry wide range of PC's. But did not note down the devices of all those pc's. If you want to, I will try to make a report with Everest next time. And as far as I can remember, it was an ATI video card on the laptop. (although it could be possible that I used a bad cd too that time...) I'm going to try a network installation with the driverpacks soon. I'll keep you informed. And if you have any: Good luck with the exams! (of hoe schrijf je dat in het engels?)
  23. The driverpacks work perfect on almost al the systems I tested them on. Only a problem with the graphics on a dell laptop (latitude D600) Keep up the good work. Other remark: setup takes lot of time when using all the DP's. And there is nog progress bar to see the progress
  24. Stupid question: But what is the purpose of the project exactly? It creates a multiboot CD where you can choose: with or without driverpacks, or normal installation. But will it use the same files for this? (Can I put the iso on a CD?) And when the 'sourcefiles' are edited by nLite, will it still work? if Yes, I will test this soon :-)
  25. Stupid question, but: what exactly is a MassStorage device??? At first I thought it was a combination of drivers for USB drives, external HD's etc... But then I noticed it had something to do with drivers voor HD's (not IDE)... I guess the laptop has a normal HD on a IDE slot. (The laptop is verry old, P3 64MB ram... ) What exactly do you want to know?
