  1. I have a Seagate HD (ST3808110AS) According to its details it supports NCQ and when I Check my device manager under the Controllers the NCQ is enabled. but using this app (HDD Health) that checks HD conditions the generated reports shows the following: edit: I just attached the TXT file... the formatting is getting mess up.. sorry hddlog.txt
  2. the one for the Event 51 don't happen regularly. what about the other Events? Especially the Event 32, MS don't have anything to say about it...
  3. i tried searching the microsoft support site for this errors but i still can't fix them. Following error logs appear everytime XP boots. (could it be one of the starting application?) Following error log only appears when I browse network computer. Does this error means my HD has problems? edit: - i tried diagnosting my HD (Seagate) using Seagate's tools and it return no errors... anyone knows why i recieving the Event ID: 51? - it don't happen everytime... but when i recive it, it is when xp stops loading during the loading screen, I recive like 7 Event 51 in event log.
  4. theres nothing wrong i guess. sometimes when windows boot it hang the loading screen.
  5. thanks glent. i'll post back what results i get edit: using cpu-z: the result i get is 0.960V for AMD Ahtlon 64 3500+ (Venice) the specs in AMD.com says Voltage is around 1.35V/1.40V - it can't auto detect it properly?... is it because of the cool n quiet feaure? - is my board broken? here is the report generated by sisoft:
  6. Board : Epox EP-9NPA3 Ultra Processor : AMD Athlon 64 3500+ when i tried using sisoftware sandra to benchmark my pc, it says that my vcore is set below the minimum requirements. but when i check the BIOS it is set to the default value in which the manual recommended. it is set to auto (default), and my board supports AMD 64 series processor. what could be the probelm?
  7. or you could just put in GuiRunOnce %SOURCE%\others\dotnet2.exe
  8. so far all is good, and all bugs that i experience have already been posted in the first post. mostly all errors are on the "Tweaks". and the rest are all working. (correct me if i'm wrong)
  9. what i did was: 1) i integrated BTS MassStorage Pack 2) do the installation procedure (since driver been integrated, no more F6) 3) installation finish .. at this point windows will reboot to the first run of windows 4) oops, windows didn't boot (infinite loop) yes it always happen at a specific point according to the forum of BTS DP, nvidia's having problem with their drivers being detected to be the same w/ other devices currently i'm building a new nLited XP w/ only integrating the nForce4 Sata and ATA Controller not the RAID on TextMode
  10. thanks, your method is the simplest one
  11. if i don't enebaled RAID, my pc keeps on rebooting after installation but if i turn on RAID, but don't set which drive will be set to RAID RAID ENABLED [Enabled] SATA 3 RAID [Disabled] SATA 4 RAID [Disabled] SATA 1 RAID [Disabled] SATA 2 RAID [Disabled] the above BIOS setup works, it allows me to finish installation w/ no infinite reboots, BUT it gives me an error about unable to load the correct NVidia nForce RAID Class Controller, NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller, and Parallel ATA Controller the fix i did was to install the SW IDE driver that was in the cd that came along with the board, after the reboot, windows will hung upon load, so i need to restart in safe mode then restart again in normal mode. yes, i am. but the installer i'm using works for the first time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ok here's what i have found out, after the installation, i turn off RAID again, then updated the missing driver "NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller, and Parallel ATA Controller" they updated from BTS DP pack fine. Speculation part: so i think the culprit is that, since i integrated BTS DP MassStorage Pack via BTS integrator (BASE), i'm actually performing the F6 automatically, since raid is not enabled, windows can't boot after installation therefor infinite reboot. But how can i integrate the SATA, PATA Controller w/o integrating the RAID controller? BTS DP Base only offer MAssStorage PAck in Textmode... should i take out the nForce4 driver in BTS DP Pack (the one w/o R, 4a. this is the one for no RAID), and integrate it thru NLite?
  12. thanks for the link but i already have it was just asking if it will destroy my installation if it remained missing... thanks again
  13. After windows installation, inside the setuperr.log, it reports this file missing "Non-critical error. blah blah blah"
  14. Manage to fix it, i enabled RAID but disabled raid for the SATAs but now it keeps on asking me about the driver to nVidia RAID Controller, wasn't it on BTS driver pack? here is the list what device windows report that unable to find the drivers - NVIDIA nForce4 Parallel ATA Controller - NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller - NVIDIA nForce RAID Class Controller I can't even find them not even in the drivers bundle w/ my board
  15. it happens in windows yes after performing the clear CMOS, all settings in BIOS went to default again (the only change i made was the FDC controller coz i don't have a floppy) -settings i'm only concern w/ (others were not touch) -- Drive A (None, i'm not using it) -- nVidia IDE RAID Boot ROM (disable by default) -- RAID Enabled (disable by default) -- OnChip IDE Channel1 (disabled, i'm not using it) -- SATA 3/4 (disable, i'm not using it) (only have 1 sata drive) -- Onboard FDC Controller (disable, i'm not using it) NOTES: the error = "Volume information for this disk cannot be found. This may happen if the disk is a 1394 or a USB device on a Windows 2000 machine. " happens because some services even set to automatic doesn't start upon windows login here are other problems that I found: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=75682 the only thing that is odd, i have integrated (using BTS Base) the MassStorage Driver from BTS pack as textmode and after the installation it keeps asking me to select safe mode or boot normally but what ever i select it just reboots p.s. i integrated the entire pack, or should i just selected the driver that i'll be needing?
  16. hi, i'm also having this kind of error, did your ever been able to fix it?
  17. already done that and still the same question: 1) as long as it shows in the device manager does it means that it still works? (the device) 2) should i really need to do the F6 ? almost all of the guides i read in google says press F6 even if i'm not using Raid just installing on a single sata some observation... 1) under the services, those set on automatic are not started and some service components are missing O.o edit: 2) found more things missing, like Internet Explorer, Windows Firewall and more I think its the memory which causing the error edit: odd, memory is fine when tested i can't find whats causing the problem Besides the memory. What else could i check that is causing me to install windows with so many things missing?
  18. i just like to ask if its my board that has problem because when i install in windows thru its sata drive here what happens: 1) installation goes normal (no F6 coz i'm not doing raid) 2) when i right click my computer > properties, the System Restore, Automatic Updates, Remore tab are missing. 3) the event viewer in the administrative tools don't work. (error mesaage: unknown interface) 4) when i install the board driver after a reboot, the network adapter is still missing even though the driver where isntalled according to the Device Manager. - i supect that its my windows installer being bad but i already use 3 different ones and its still the same - any advice?
  19. by change meaning i updated to a newer bios version? No but if you mean changing a few settings... yes i did, i disabled some parts i don't use like FDC controller. this might help, i get this error when i try to populate the HD in "Volume information for this disk cannot be found. This may happen if the disk is a 1394 or a USB device on a Windows 2000 machine. " 1) should i really do the f6? 2)could this be a hardware problem? solutions tried: - clear cmos - still the same - created a new xp slipstreamed - still the same - added Bâshrat the Sneaky driver pack - infinite reboot after installation
  20. the first installation went smooth with no problems it even detected my Sata Drive with out doing the F6 but on the second reformat XP been installing in wierdly, like missing CPU info in the General Tab of My Computer Properties, Missing System Restore Tab, Remote Tab, and Automatic Updtae Tab and i can't even populate my HD, and also the event viewer doesn't work it gives a "unknown interface error" other note: BIOS able to detect the Sata HD, Device Manager also detect the processor was it only luck that I was able to install on the first try? or there is something broken?
  21. yeah, i agree.. its giving me headaches
  22. thanks , i'll try one of those the SIW(first one) suppose to say ROOT_HUB for V1, while ROOT_HUB20 for 2.0?
  23. ic, thanks, well i'll just leave the default which is enabled
  24. i know its a silly question but i don't know how to know if what usb version are the ones on my board.
