  4. Anyone knows where I can find APIs (preferably open source) to create/manage online exams? Thanks in advance. Additional Info: - using ajax if possible - if there is an existing plugin that I can place/use w/ eclipse - uses java
  5. After waiting for an answer I tried making a VM and tested it. yup, DNS service is not needed anymore if static ip is set
  6. How do I use the "TaskKill"? I tried the following but I get a YahooMessenger.exe not found. yahoomessenger.exe /s Taskkill /F /IM YahooMessenger.exe Note: - YahooMessenger.exe is the task name that appears in the Task Manager.
  7. Besides the -ms for silent install what are other switches I can use?
  8. I see, thanks. yes it is basically just for a home network use only. Currently my set up is 2 PCs w/ static IPs and the others in DHCP (and its sometimes confusing accessing them ) P.S. Sorry if I have post it in the wrong section. using static IP, DNS service is safe to be disabled? (I know I wouldn't be needing the DHCP service)
  9. I would like to know which is the most preferred setup, letting the router assign IP address w/ the use of DHCP or set static IPs?
  10. This is confusing, so should it be or not enabled? By the way, thanks for the replies from all of you.
  11. Thanks Zxian, what on your opinion is a good time duartion before the hard disk is turn off? is "after 45 min" enough or should I choose lower/higher timeouts?
  12. I'm using a desktop. I just would like to ask if it is better to not enable the "Turn off Hard disk after x mins" option or it will be better enabled? Mostly my comp idles around in IRC and not doing anything.
  13. I thing I notice is that the scheduled task are no longer working after I disabled the control panel/center but real time scanning still runs.
  14. Does disabling the control panel/center (avgcc.exe) also disables the real-time scanning? Or it is safe to disable the control panel/center?
  15. Is it possible if you can point me to some tutorials or information that I can read on about this?
  16. Is it possible to make a PHP script that enables the user to acquire information from a given website, like values inside a table and save it in a text file?
  17. Thanks Jeremy, I'll try turning it on and see if 3d games performs faster.
  18. So I need it turn on to have the settings take effect w/ the 3D games i'm playing with... sigh. Thanks for the info It doesn't? but with it turned off (dunno about when turned on) I don't see the settings getting applied to the games i played, I have set it to performance rather than quality so that i can play 3d games w/o lag (not connection lag)
  19. Is disabling the service "NVIDIA Display Driver Service" won't allow me to use the functionality it provides? or it still works after I configure the settings then turn the service off?
  20. I'm using the latest php which 5. and I'm unable to have it connect with postgreSQL, it kept on displaying the error: undefined function: pg_connect();. I have followed the instruction, remove the comments for the postgreSQL dll in php.ini, and copied the dlls needed inside the php folder (under extensions) still it won't work.
  21. according to them it was not a bug, they said that limewire based its connection slots to the connection speed and the max connections seen in the setting file is not read if it is different from the connection speed...
  22. thanks, i have found the settings file but its odd, everytime limewire is run, the max connections is increase by 1.
  23. Is there a way to do limit or reduce limewire connections (preferably not thru the options of limewire because others my still set it back)?
