  1. Probably, the user isn't a native English speaker, I get this a lot here, but then again, it's an international forum, what else one would expect? @NotHereToPlayGames, in other words, win32ss wrote he will reduce the number of hostile connections, but won't eliminate them all, due to the public requests. Complaints, in this case, mean users aren't happy with the fully Ungoogled version. They still want the Google connections to leak data. Is it clearer?
  2. Browsers don't get streams in containers, both audio and video streams are served separately.
  3. No, those are my screencaps from MPC-HC (streaming youtube, but then again, I get the same stats if I simply download them with a saving extension in Thorium.
  4. A major progress -" involuntary connections to Google services, which will be pared back in response to users' complaints." https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/600

  6. Someone, that much invested into security, wouldn't even visit Xitter in the first place.
  7. Another standalone, but most probably related issue to report. I sometimes get spacer.png instead of embedded or attached pictures, the same as D.Draker already reported, but for me it happens on a rare occasion.
  8. BTW, I had encountered 403 error with embedded links for the first time. All started acting up recently.
  9. The issue is now with me, also. I tried older chrome, all the same. Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong saving.
  10. Shouldn't they be identified by the codec in the browser? HEVC - V_MPEGH, H264 - V-MPEG4, respectively. I mean, AVC is format, not codec. Or no?

  23. Unfortunately, I don't know that "collaborator", and he seems to be absent on MSFN either, there's no official statement by win32 on the link you gave, what was I supposed to "not notice"? I fail to believe win32 wouldn't find two seconds to comment on such serious matter at that github page himself. Another oddity, that repository (topic) is locked now, and what if people wanted to say something about it, probably add another fake page, warnings?
  24. Your posts, maybe, most likely. Mine, I try to post only what is directly related. I'll elaborate. Like @D.Draker already wrote, we had two absolutely different errors, D.Draker could access imgur directly, but was getting a spacer.png on MSFN. SharePoint Online also frequently gets the same 429 error, see the relation? Chrome browsers have auto reload function, this could be the case for triggering. There's not a word about VPN being the problem, or the cause of error 429 in this official Microsoft article. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/general-development/how-to-avoid-getting-throttled-or-blocked-in-sharepoint-online
  25. What makes you think I didn't read it? It was a personal thought of a random Reddit poster, while I got you a >Solved< page explanation. "Spotify is not working under VPN. I'm getting 403 error. I'm using my work VPN and it's always been OK." https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/403-Error-when-using-VPN/m-p/5470802#M114786 How then you explain the same man not getting any errors with work VPN? I have a hunch it's related to the new fingerprinting techniques that are working differently with Thorium.
