Like @D.Draker already wrote, we had two absolutely different errors, D.Draker could access imgur directly, but was getting a spacer.png on MSFN. SharePoint Online also frequently gets the same 429 error, see the relation? Chrome browsers have auto reload function, this could be the case for triggering.
